@MartinSLewis I worked for a water company who were bought out by a Chinese buyer. Should I have resigned?

Today's Poll: Would you take a well paid job, say 3x current pay, at a company owned by a country that was unfriendly to, virtually an enemy of, the UK? (It isn't spying).

Am I overreacting? I bought a sweater for my future niece, and my roommates said it was ugly! I ordered from the local crafter, I wanted support her, cause I love this community, and I think its pretty nice, but my roommates said it was ugly My sister in law is pregnant and I found this sweater for the baby girl at a Mexican farmers market today. (Baby is half mexican half islander) I brought it home and excitedly showed it to my roommates and they called it ugly. I told them they were mean and have been keeping to myself for the night. They have me doubting if I should give it to my sister in law. Credit - Maryam Mary

@CWUnews @DaveWardGS Dave my MP has written to you on 2 occasions in order to discuss the handling of my now deceased husband, Des B dismissal. You have not bothered to reply to him yet you tell your members to email their MPs in order to help you do your job. Hypocritical?

A message from the General Secretary. CWU members have sent 15,000 emails to MPs on the situation in Royal Mail. We are also seeing images from meetings across the UK backing the union and rejecting Royal Mails failed USO proposals. We will update reps and members next week on the whole situation but for now please keep contacting your MPs and please keep the workplace meetings coming. EMAIL YOUR MP NOW cwu.org/mp-protect-pos…

@jannycat @frances_email Here's my letter, dated July 2013, I expected my SP August 2016. @patmcfaddenmp said women wouldn't take notice of letters. Well I did and kept it. 3 years notice for a 6 year delay is just pathetic and insulting.

Yet another disappointing update from the UK Govt for WASPI women. Despite accepting they were impacted by maladministration and spending years demanding this injustice be righted, Labour have again refused to follow the Ombudsman's recommendations and compensate those affected.

BREAKING: The Labour Government will NOT compensate WASPI women After a UK Government review of the decision not to provide pay-outs, Pat McFadden said the result has not changed

@CWUnews When workers join a union they expect to be fairly represented singularly and collectively. You lot do neither.

CWU inspired policy has PASSED both Houses of Parliament. "The Employment Rights Bill is a genuine improvement to millions of working people’s lives that has been fought for by unions after nearly a decade of campaigning. These positive changes will now become law, despite the best efforts of unelected Lords and bad bosses. However, the work does not stop here. The CWU, alongside other unions, will continue to campaign for the swift and effective implementation of the policies in the legislation. We will also keep campaigning for the government to go further and introduce sectoral collective bargaining, tackle the gig economy and introduce a single status of worker. Today must also herald the beginning of a new style of business leadership in the UK. CEO’s and shareholders should be motivated by building companies that provide decently-paid, secure jobs, rather than awarding themselves record pay, while their workers are paid poverty wages. This is what will secure long-term, sustainable growth for our entire economy. We will be pushing the Labour government to go further and fully empower both workers and trade unions over the next few years and once again, we encourage every worker in the country to join a trade union." Dave Ward, CWU General Secretary.

Our young people deserve better than this from Royal Mail. This is Louie. He’s 19. 📮 Because he joined Royal Mail after 2023, he’s on worse terms than colleagues doing the same job: a toxic two-tier system that harms recruitment, retention and morale. ✊📬 #PostalWorkersDay

@CrazyVibes_1 Take no notice of your soon to be mother in law, she sounds awful. Its your day not hers. My husband passed away suddenly in April and my MIL ostracised me immediately. She had been more than happy to demand my help for 34 years prior to his death. I wish I had told her to f off
