Bitcoin Cycle Debate: Which Theory Wins in Dec 2025? BTC at ~$87K after $126K ATH. Top in or just a dip? 1. Traditional 4-Year Halving: Peak done m, bear market starting. Fits history perfectly. 2. Jeff Park's 2-Year Insti Cycle: ETFs killed halvings. Shorter, sharper swings ahead. 3. Raoul Pal's 5-Year Supercycle: Liquidity wave coming. Real parabolic peak in 2026. My take: Supercycle most likely. Shallower correction, no euphoria yet, institutional buying strong, macro liquidity reboot incoming. The old 4-year script is fading. Higher highs probable in 2026. Bitcoin’s classic 4-year cycle is dead. The halving matters less, and ETF-era flows matter more. A new “2-year cycle” is emerging, driven by: • Fund manager incentives • Year-end P&L pressure • ETF investor cost basis • Profit-taking behavior around 12/31 Most ETF inflows from 2024–25 are now underwater or barely above their hurdle rates. If BTC stays flat, ROI compresses → managers sell. If BTC drops, ETFs hit key pain points → more sell pressure. In the institutional era, behavioral flows > halving cycles. Bitcoin’s future moves will be dictated less by supply, more by fund flows, cost basis, and managers protecting their track record. Bottom line: The 4-year cycle is gone. This could be one reason why we didn't see a runaway altseason this cycle. 🟥 "Altseason above this line" (52+ on ISM's PMI) Alt seasons have only been active in crypto when PMI was at 52 or above: 2013✅ 2017✅ 2020✅ 2021 ✅ 2025 ❌

I understand why so many of you are calling for the 4-year cycle to be dead, but 99% of you do not realize how detrimental that will be to ₿itcoin market structure. This would print a BEARISH DOJI, or even worse a BEARISH INVERTED HAMMER on 16 years of PA. This will take an IMMENSE AMOUNT OF TIME TO RECOVER FROM. All faith will be lost in the market. I could see the “Quantum Computing” or “AI will create a better ₿itcoin” narrative gaining traction in 2026. Traders will turn to “safer assets” w/ better returns such as $NDX or $SPX Ya’ll better pray $BTC ends the year in green to keep market structure in tact.
