Allowing any Eritrean or Sudanese citizen to travel to Britain under so-called "safe and legal routes" would enable roughly 60 million people to come here and claim asylum.
The White British population of Britain is just 44 million.
Under @NadiaWhittomeMP's proposal, the Eritrean and Sudanese population entitled to travel to Britain to claim asylum, at a 94-99% approval rate, would rapidly outnumber the White British population.
Research from @migrationCtrl reveals Eritrean nationals are charged with sexual offences in London at a rate of 66 per 10,000 - 10x the rate for British nationals (6.5 per 10,000). Sudanese nationals are charged with sexual offences at a rate of 43 per 10,000.
Under Nadia's open borders plan, given known sex offence rates, we could expect the combined 60 million Eritrean and Sudanese citizens empowered to come to Britain to be charged with over 250,000 sexual offences.
Does @NadiaWhittomeMP think an additional quarter of a million people in Britain being sexually assaulted is a fair trade-off for her open borders fantasy?

When 94% of Eritrean and 99% of Sudanese asylum seekers are ultimately granted refugee status, the government should establish safe and legal routes for these countries, or at the very least, fast-track their asylum applications. Student refugee visas and community-support/business-support schemes cannot be the only safe routes for refugees. We should not be offering asylum protection based on qualifications, but on the level of need for sanctuary. A person fleeing war is not more deserving of safety because they can “contribute” more.
