Think it should be very similar to March madness where the better seed usually has a shorter travel to the neutral site, but i think the postseason should always try to be neutral

This is unacceptable and every player who voted “no” should be cut and have their scholarship and NIL revoked. Embarrassing how these guys are paid to be there and receive world class education for free, not to mention the exposure, experiences, swag, yada yada. And with their head coach retiring rather than send him off with a bowl win, they opt to just be done. They are paid, compensated to be there. They achieved bowl eligibility and the bowl game provides exposure to the school and an opportunity for the fans to travel to a unique environment, often somewhere warm, during the winter. It’s embarrassing that football players would vote “no” to playing a football game. This is really sad to see…
