Hey @github: time to admit you’re having problems with actions again. Your status page says everything is fine but I’m seeing actions randomly take 10x longer than usual to complete.

@way0utwest @Ryanair Sometimes they're the only viable option unfortunately, especially if we want to fly in/out of Stansted, which is much easier than Heathrow, Gatwick, or (my least favourite) Luton. It's the hypocrisy that infuriates me.

Get your act together, will you, @Ryanair? Airport departure boards and *your own app* say FR2515 from Budapest will depart on time, but gate staff say officially delayed 20 minutes and that real delay is likely to be 30 - 40 minutes. What’s going on?

If you want to overturn the Online Safety Act you are on the side of predators. It is as simple as that.

My sense is it's going to work a lot better with a lot more of the project in place, which will hopefully function to put some guardrails around how far it goes. I'm just deleting and rearranging lots of stuff at the moment. :/

GitHub Copilot Agent might be a wonderful tool but I just asked it to scaffold out a Python project. Gave it some basic details about the project and it's... gone *quite* off-piste. I think it would have been quicker to just copy and paste from my last Python project.

@way0utwest @Mazda_Europe Sorry Steve, X seems to not want to give me any real notifications nowadays. The thing is... if we got an EV we'd still need an ICE or hybrid vehicle as well. We could replace one of them with an EV and, I suspect, next time we need to that might be what we do.

@dhh @yukihiro_matz Late to the party on but I completely agree. Typescript is miserable and ugly. I love the simplicity of JS, both writing it and the (relative lack of) toolchain required to deploy. JS isn’t my favourite language but TypeScript ruins its best bits. Verbose, ugly, bureaucratic.

TypeScript sucked out much of the joy I had writing JavaScript. I’m forever grateful that @yukihiro_matz didn’t succumb to the pressure of adding similar type hints to Ruby. May we forever enjoy this beloved language without 🙏 zverok.space/blog/2023-05-0…

Your checkout process is broken @ToolstationUK. Every time I click Checkout it asks me to sign in. I sign in then it empties my basket. I re-add items and try to check out again, it asks me to log in again, rinse and repeat. Using Firefox on macOS.

Well, at a time when the Roman Catholic Church has never more needed to establish credibility, appointment of an American Pope will do no end of good. It’s easy to see how the most recent conclave earned their positions of authority. Wow.
