Officially out at #QJE: "Ideas Have Consequences: The Impact of Law and Economics on American Justice", with Daniel L. Chen and Suresh Naidu. We study the early law-and-economics movement, and how it has shaped judicial behavior in U.S. federal courts.

An incredible experience working on this paper. We ask a very simple question: With increased penetration of internet, geographically dispersed groups of people are consuming more similar information. Increased similarity can help them coordinate better, but can also exacerbate a free-rider problem. So, when is increased similarity beneficial, and when is it harmful for collective action?
