The #Bagram Airbase is also a TTP hideout? While all eyes are on #Iran, #Pakistan continues to bomb #Afghanistan to serve the #US interests in the region. The disease of Nationalism & deception of State propaganda has blinded Pakistanis.

BREAKING! The jury has been unable to a reach a verdict in Majid Freeman’s case. The prosecution will now seek a retrial. Statement from CAGE (@CAGEintl): Majid Freeman walks out of court an innocent man after the jury failed to reach a verdict on his case.* Majid repeatedly asserted his support for the resistance and the Palestinian’s right to resist. Despite the states best efforts members of the jury were able to see through the politicised nature of this trial. A 4 week retrial has now been ordered for September 2027! The state threw everything it had at Majid Freeman and failed to secure a conviction. Upon hearing the decision, Majid said:  “I welcome the opportunity of a retrial, because it means the evidence of what Israel has done to Gaza, the brutality, the systematic destruction of an entire people, will once again be placed before a jury of the British public. Let them see it again. Let the world be reminded again.”

History remembers not only those who order injustice, but also those who facilitate it. Never forget the role of chief facilitator AG Mansoor Awan, who is said to harbour political ambitions for the future. He stood before the Supreme Court and misled the bench on Military Trials for May 9 protesters. He assured the SC that those tried would not receive sentences exceeding three years. He spoke of acquittals, fairness and restraint. But when the verdicts arrived, A 100% conviction rate Not a single acquittal Sentences ranging from 2 to 10 years!

"One of the reasons Pakistan doesn't even "need" martial law anymore is because there are now enough civilian collaborators in the media, higher judiciary, and political class , & none of them seem to feel their constant loss of professional dignity by the state" @MJibranNasir

No petrol price increase in India since the start of war. Bangladesh has increased by only 16%. But in Pakistan petrol price has been increased by a whopping 61%. Why ? Why are we always worse than other countries ? What explains this ? Surely incompetence, inefficiency and of course corruption

ISKP is a mutual threat to both Afghanistan and Pakistan. Anti Pakistan groups TTP and 'ittihad ul mujahideen' have condemned the killing of maulana Idris who a few days ago publicly lauded the field marshall's mediation efforts between Iran and America. Maulana Idris became the latest addition to the series of killings ISKP has orchestrated in Pakistan. A pattern can be observed that all scholars who were respected in both Afghanistan and Pakistan were targeted by ISKP such as Maulana Sami ul haq and his son Hamid ul haq.

Unlike what troll accounts linked to the state are suggesting, maulana idris wasn't killed by TTP. Islamic state Khorasan province has claimed the fatal attack. A few days before being killed, maulana Idris publicly lauded the field marshall's role in mediation between Iran and America. Maulana Idris had taught the current Taliban leadership in the past and met Taliban's supreme leader 'Haibatullah' in 2024. Last month, he signed a document alongside other Afghan and Pakistani scholars to request an extension for the ceasefire. He was frequently criticised by 'islamic state' due to his pro Taliban stance.

The discourse on militancy and proxy warfare is so weak in Pakistan that there are some self proclaimed 'experts' who say that maulana Idris was killed by the Taliban. Some even go to the extent to make ridiculous claims like ISKP and the Taliban are allies. It's as absurd as suggesting daesh and Al Qaeda are the same thing.

Assalam u Alaikum, Saad was presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court today. He is in good spirits and when I told him about the massive social media support and voices raised for him, he was deeply humbled. The CTD and prosecution had nothing further to present, and he has now been sent on judicial remand. Saad had no issues with his legs before, but at the time of his court appearance, he was limping and experiencing severe pain in his foot, which raises suspicion of torture by CTD officials. There were also visible injury marks on Saad’s left arm. This is no longer just about Saad. It is about institutional overreach, abuse of power, and corruption. We will pursue this bogus and fraudulent case to its logical conclusion. Saad’s ordeal must become a source of hope for everyone who has faced abuse at the hands of the system. Saad, our family, and I are deeply grateful for all the support and encouragement. The fight will continue. #ReleaseSaad

You didn't report a story, you laundered a fabricated one. A newspaper reduced itself to a copy-paste mouthpiece for a CTD narrative built on personal vendetta, without a single call to the family, without one look at publicly available evidence, and without a shred of basic journalistic instinct. While a young journalist's life hangs in the balance over a charge as monstrous as Al-Qaeda affiliation, you chose to amplify the lie instead of questioning it. This isn't bad journalism, it's a betrayal to your own profession.

Hi all, Calling out Dawn for a straight-up journalistic failure. Since when does Dawn copy-paste the versions of notorious departments like CTD and call it reporting? No call, no verification, no family position, nothing. Just a one-sided story that plays directly into a fabricated case. Our statements were public. The facts, documents, and visual evidence were a phone call away. You chose not to pick it up. I’d not call it an oversight, this is negligence at min., complicity at worst. You’ve taken a fellow young journalist at his lowest point and helped frame him instead of doing the bare minimum your profession demands. Fix this. Put our side on record. Or own the fact that you chose convenience over truth. @dawn_com dawn.com/news/1997111
