Reading people and emotions and adjusting your interaction accordingly are more accurately skills, than innate like IQ. How do I know? Because autistic people, who by definition lack the ability to read social cues, can be taught to recognize them and respond accordingly.

Something I’ve witnessed repeatedly. A LOT of newly married girls expect her parents lifestyle (large house, travel, no money worries) right away. EXTREMELY PISSED her 30yo husband can’t deliver. She never witnessed and can’t comprehend the 30+ yrs her parents worked to level up.

Yes. A man is only as conservative as his wife allows him to be. Men get flustered when I say this while having a very conservative wife who allows him to also be conservative like her. Again, modern civil marriage is a 50/50 co-CEO relationship. How does work in business?

@GiaMMacool These are just things that a good person would do. It’s only complicated when you aren’t naturally inclined to do those things.

“Men are simple, women are complicated” is one of the dumbest false equivalences out there. Yes, when a man is just looking for fun, his requirements are low. She’s attractive. She’s down. That’s enough. But the second the conversation turns to marriage, kids, or a real future, that “simple” man suddenly has a very long list: • Stays fit • Doesn’t blow money • Has loyalty and integrity • Gets along with his family • Would be a good mother • Is pleasant to live with • Is fun in bed and a lady outside of it • Makes him look good in public and is hospitable to his friends • Makes him feel respected, desired, and admired • Shows up when life gets hard That is not simple. That is a high standard, No different than women have for men Men and women both list preferences. Both rarely uphold them. Both keep looking for someone who checks every box… never realizing no one ever will. Stop pretending men are the uncomplicated ones. They’re only “simple” when they don’t plan on keeping you.

@saluwe Yeah, all those classical elements were deliberately folded into a single practice which we now call Christianity. Like Judaism is aggregated Egyptian and Phoenician practices.
