I participated in a roundtable panel at the World Governments Summit, hosted by @TuckerCarlson , under the theme “Is the Next Decade African?” In responding to questions on Africa’s relations with global powers, I emphasised that Zimbabwe is a sovereign state that engages with all partners, East or West, on the basis of national interest. What matters most is not pleasing external powers, but securing arrangements that deliver the best outcomes for our people and our resources. Today, @MoLGPWZim snr officials led by Min Hon D Garwe, DM @AlbertMavunga, PS @basera_john met members of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Local Government, Public Works and National Housing during for a working luncheon in Harare. The committee was briefed on the work being undertaken by the Ministry in championing #Vision2030, and taken up to date on progress in the implementation of #Call2Action, Urban State Land Management Policy and the Minimum Service Delivery Standards. Going forward, the Committee and the Min will continue to work together to champion realisation of Vision2030

@MoLGPWZim Min Hon D Garwe today commissioned 20 refuse compactors as part of a larger fleet of 85 refuse collection vehicles that will be hired out to LAs to improve service delivery.
