Labour’s claim to have accepted the EU referendum result was a lie from the start, wasn’t it?

@ToryVote_ We're no longer fooled by these Tory statements either. Many of the Tories who tried to thwart Brexit are still around the party alive and kicking.

For those suggesting Labour should just put #rejoinEU in their next manifesto and get a mandate that way... 🤔 A General Election which might be won with just a third of the votes cast simply cannot trump a (single issue) Referendum where more than half wanted to leave the EU!

It's reported that Sinn Féin intends to work with the SNP and Plaid Cymru to "break up the UK". Our instinct is to oppose this. But what if the best thing for England would be to bid farewell to Britain, asks Clive Pinder. dailysceptic.org/2026/05/17/the…

Why does the government want to join Erasmus which will not help UK students go to the top world universities which are all non EU? Our Turing scheme allows them to go to top places in US and elsewhere. It also costs taxpayers less, as it does not pay EU students to come here.

At the Unite the Kingdom rally in Parliament Square. No sign of the hatred Two-Tier Keir said he wouldn't tolerate. And a distinct lack of "far right racist thugs". Instead of condemning these good natured flag-waving patriots, Starmer, why don't you listen to them?

It’s as though Keir Starmer is on a suicide mission as Prime Minister at this point. How did this divisive and dishonest tactic work after Southport? He has done nothing to stop the small boats, nothing to ban Iran’s terror fronts in the UK and now makes his stand on this?
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

In the @Telegraph I talk about @Ed_Miliband's idiotic plan to make new oil and gas drilling illegal He claims to want secure home grown clean energy but prefers to import hydrocarbons that are dirtier than the ones we produce The contradiction is obvious to everyone except him apparently The other worrying aspect is that the proposed Bill is framework legislation which effectively gives ministers a blank cheque to deal with what can be extremely important details later with secondary legislation and statutory instruments which attract little scrutiny What is it about this @UKLabour government that wants to avoid accountability. They tried to cancel elections and now they're trying to swerve proper Parliamentary scrutiny @Keir_Starmer @KemiBadenoch @ClaireCoutinho @AndrewBowie_MP @griffitha @NJ_Timothy @DavidGHFrost @afneil @Iromg @AllisonPearson @MerrynSW @EdConwaySky @mattotele @mattwridley telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…

Reform being so openly hostile to Britain’s support for Ukraine is one of the most off-putting things about them. Flying the flag of a free and sovereign Ukraine is a mark of our upholding their right to exist as a nation in the face of the murder, rape and pillage of Putin’s unprovoked invasion. Doing so does not detract from or diminish Britain’s national interest. It enhances it. We have a clear national interest in the defence of Europe, and not emboldening further Russian aggression.
James Orr@jtworr

If you were wondering why the Conservative Party just suffered its worst defeat in Essex - and why it will cease to exist there after the next general election - look no further. The Tories spent 14 years treating the national interest as one priority among many.

Reform’s ‘no Ukraine flags’ policy is hardly surprising given their Head of Policy, James Orr, description of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as: A “regional Slavic conflict between Russia and Ukraine” And that it is not a “war”, but “a conflict happening in the world that I don’t care very much about.” Had Reform been in power in 2022 and taken this position, the whole of Ukraine would likely now be occupied by Russia with Putin plotting his next move. They are a danger to our national security.

One of the first decisions made by Essex Reform was to remove the Ukrainian flag from County Council HQ. Let that sink in. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@CatherineWest1 Please define far right. The people marching were the hard workers of this country who are concerned at the state of everything. You're once again insulting a huge portion of the people. You are the dividers who are totally out of touch. Disgraceful tweet.

Once again, the far right are mobilising on the streets of London. Hate will never divide us. I am proud to represent one of the most diverse and welcoming constituencies in the world where over 180 languages are spoken. Let's stand united as a community, for hope not hate.
