Why are Kashmiris being fooled in the name of a liquor ban? Let me tell you with full authority - no party in Jammu and Kashmir has the will or the courage to ban liquor. The biggest fool is the Kashmiri who still believes that the J&K government will ban the sale and consumption of liquor.

1. Who banned Kashmir Reader in 2016? Who called it a “reluctant decision” to “ensure peace”? 2.Who seized & halted printing of newspapers in 2016? Who halted presses, seized printed copies and confiscated plates of Greater Kashmir, Rising Kashmir, Kashmir Observer,Kashmir Reader, Daily Kashmir Images .Who justified it publicly ?

The unprecedented cross-voting in the Rajya Sabha elections held in October 2025 almost went unnoticed then . Information obtained through the Right to Information revealed that @jkpdp had not appointed authorised agents for verifying the votes of their MLAs. Those who betrayed the trust of Kashmiris by either voting for @BJP4India or invalidating their votes to help @BJP4India have been rightly called as "national criminals" and need to be exposed before Kashmiris @MehboobaMufti needs to tell Kashmiris why she didn't appoint authorised agents. Why didn’t she appoint authorised agents despite fielding candidates in all Rajya Sabha elections? 2. Why did @jkpdp lie to Kashmiris that they were not required to appoint authorised agents? 3.@OmarAbdullah-led government has responded to all questions, ranging from Urdu to Siraj-ul-Uloom, as well as clarified his remarks on liquor. 4.Diversions on RS poll cross voting won't work. Kashmiris deserve to know the truth. No escape route.

When they are in opposition, they cry for a liquor ban. When they are in power, they oppose it. Do they think ordinary Kashmiris are dimwits? Do they think we are fools who forget yesterday? The biggest fool in Kashmir is the one who still believes their statements. They take us for granted. They think our memory lasts only till the next election.

This is the digital era! Kashmiri politicians should Google their actions and words before speaking on any issue. 1. @jkpdp targeted @OmarAbdullah over liquor. 2. @JKNC_ dug up an archival statement where @jkpdp own Finance Minister ruled out a ban on liquor sales. Google is catching Kashmiri politicians like CCTV. 😃 😃 😀 😄 😁

I have read the reply. Out of 22000-23000 labour-days/jobs: (1).7000–8000 are labour-days in Floriculture . (2).8000–9000 are sanitation workers (4000–5000 each in Housing & Urban Development Department and Health & Medical Education Department). I too have reservations about outsourcing in 3 departments. Govt should itself conduct the selection process for contractual jobs in these 3 departments, not private firms. The opposition doesn’t even understand the issue. They are just inflating claims.

Jammu & Kashmir has an army of illiterate politicians. Before playing politics over backdoor appointments and outsourcing, they should read the detailed reply given by the J&K Government in the Assembly in response to question of MLA Handwara- the source of entire controversy over the issue. I did. And I found that 80% of these so-called "backdoor appointments" are not jobs at all -they are labour-days and engagements of sanitary workers (Safai Karamcharis). You could have been a constructive opposition if you had read that reply. You could have pointed out the departments where the government must do away with outsourcing But no. Today, u are fighting over whose labourer, whose Safai Karamchari will sweep the hospital floor- yours or mine. This is what our politics has come to. Quarrelling over brooms while our children wait for real jobs.
