Be extra cautious when driving inside or near Wildlife Protected Areas. Wild animals can suddenly cross the road at any time. Always drive at a controlled speed, stay alert and be prepared to stop immediately to avoid accidents that can cost human and wildlife lives.

@TEdmand91 @Uganda_Expozed It is unfortunate that we have lost lives. Our condolences to the families of the deceased and sympathies to the injured. We pray for the deceased to rest in peace and the injured to recover quickly. The vehicle they were travelling in knocked an elephant.

@Uganda_Expozed Dear @bashirhangi this needs a follow up. Last time it was a Pakistan guy being killed by an elephant when he had gone to pee, what is this one doing off the track?

This is putting the driver at a risk of being arrested Mistakes: 1. Car is driving off track which calls for fine of 100 dollars per person in a car 2. He is standing outside which puts his life at a risk incase a lion attacks from behind 3. The car is small and supposed to enter the park unless its a 4x4 safari car on any of the track clients are likely to sleep there put life to risk To mention but a few @MTWAUganda and @ugwildlife should set strict rules ans new standards on how and what should access the park For God and my country

UGANDA / TANZANIA Uganda is trending in Tanzania because they brought not only some Tanzanian tour operators but also 2 popular media personalities. That’s the best way of positioning a country. They are also here for POATE. Tanzanians are watching fellow Tanzanians enjoy Uganda. One of the tour operator Lymo called me last evening and said, Amos, you guys have an incredible country. He couldn’t get over our attractions and food, remember the 2 planting seasons? It works guys

During a routine patrol in Bugoma Central Forest Reserve, @ugwildlife rangers arrested a suspect found transporting illegally produced charcoal on a motorcycle. Rangers also destroyed additional sacks of charcoal and dismantled an active charcoal burning site discovered deep inside the forest reserve. UWA continues to intensify patrols and enforcement operations against illegal activities threatening Bugoma’s ecosystem and biodiversity.

Hosted buyers welcome dinner happened yesterday at Sheraton Hotel Kampala @SheratonKla The hosted buyers arrived into the country and were officially welcomed by CEO - Uganda Tourism Board @JulzKagwa Today, the hosted buyers are starting their Fam-trips across Uganda, visiting various tourism sites. In her speech, she requested the hosted buyers/ tour operators 3 things: 1️⃣ Engage with our guides, taste our local flavors, and ask the questions that matter to your clients. 2️⃣ Take a moment away from the lens to breathe in the fresh air of the Nile or the quiet rainforests. 3️⃣ Use this time to identify the unique stories you want to tell when you head back home. She emphasizes that @TourismBoardUg is here to support them in bringing those stories to life, and looking forward to welcoming them back on the 20th of May, enriched by experiences and ready to do business as we officially open #POATE2026 on the 21st May. #ExploreUganda #Wanderlust #POATE2026

Elephants are among the most intelligent animals on earth. They mourn their dead, remember migration routes and water sources for years, and fiercely protect vulnerable members of their herd. They communicate through touch, body language, powerful vocalizations, and low-frequency rumbles that can travel several kilometres, helping herds stay connected over long distances. Elephant families are led by experienced matriarchs whose memory and leadership are critical for the survival of the herd. In the wild, intelligence is not only about survival. It is also about memory, communication, leadership, and family. Uganda’s elephants are mainly found in Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Kibale National Park, Semuliki National Park, Mount Elgon Conservation Area, and parts of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Some of the most powerful moments in the wild are completely silent. A lion watching from the grass. An elephant crossing at sunrise. Mist settling over a forest. Nature does not shout, yet it says everything.
