@Rovers @lewiscostello RIP Tony. A fixture at the club even before I started attending in 1972. Condolences to Natalie and the family.

Blackburn Rovers are devastated to learn of the passing of Tony Parkes.
A true club legend, often referred to as ‘Mr Blackburn Rovers’, Tony passed away last night at the age of 76.
Everyone at the club sends their deepest heartfelt condolences to Tony’s daughter Natalie and all his family and friends at this incredibly sad time.
A special tribute will be held to celebrate Tony’s life and his outstanding contribution to the club’s history at our final home game of the season against Leicester City on Saturday May 2nd.

@Keir_Starmer Everything you can, you say… Like spending a full nineteen seconds laying a cheap wreath to ‘honour’ them, before scurrying away back to London for a drinks reception? Stunning, Prime Minister. Stunning…

The brutal, senseless murders of Bebe, Elsie and Alice marked one of the darkest moments in our country’s history.
The report today is truly harrowing and profoundly disturbing. It sets out systematic failures that led to this terrible event.
I’ve been overwhelmed by the bravery and determination of their families and while nothing will ever bring these three little girls back, I’m determined to make the fundamental changes needed to keep the public safe.
I will do everything I can to honour the memory of Bebe, Elsie, and Alice.

Rovers 0 WBA 0. A good point in the end. Would I have preferred 3? Of course; but in the context of that game and the other results, it’s another one done and we’re still 6 points clear. Two more wins, or 5 more points should be enough… shouldn’t it? #Rovers

Rovers 0 Middlesbrough 0. A good point against a club in the automatic promotion places, but we could have been three down at half time and we couldn’t have complained. Better in the second half though, although Baradji continues to frustrate, I’m sad to say… #Rovers

@dowse_11 I’ll have a pint of what you’re currently drinking! 😂😂😂

@puncturedbicycl @Rovers The die is cast now, Simon. Might as well plan for League One. Massive credit to you for making that trip, after Saturday, I’d have quibbled about going for free!

@Rovers Train fare £80, overnight stay at hotel £113, match ticket £30. For that. For that limp, insipid, downright disgraceful performance. Not only were Oxford better than us, they wanted it more than us. And that hurts. That really, really hurts.

@Justom29 Ridiculous. Do they want to drive the club out of existence?

EFL want to give Sheffield Wednesday a 15 point deduction next season, a transfer ban, and a 7k wage cap.
On top of the 18 point deduction this season. The former owner isn't even still involved 🤯
Chelsea and Man City have currently had no charges enforced...

Rovers 1 Pompey 1. A poor game played by two very ordinary sides, refereed by a poor official. In truth, neither side deserved to win and a draw was a fair result. We will have to improve, because in all honesty, I couldn’t see where a goal was coming from. Until it did! #Rovers
