Our paper is out! Xenopus embryos follow #kleiber’s power law between metabolic rate and body mass. But triploids embryos which are made of fewer larger cells have a lower metabolic rate than diploids. 1/3

Véronique Marthiens from @basto_lab showed that RGC mitosis under high biomechanical constraints (compressive forces) leads to increased microtubule numbers and growth rates, resulting in increased frequency of lagging chromosomes and missegregation. #SpindleCroatia2023

It take a village to get to this point! I thank my motivated and committed past and present team members. I am lucky to be the PI of the amazing CytoLab and the best part of my job is mentoring them during their scientific journeys.

I am thrilled to announce that I have received the #ERCStG 2022 after my first accepted #ERCStG in 2015 and rejected #ERCStG in 2019. When @IGCcentrioles told me that I can apply to another #ERCStG, I thought is this even possible? As long as you are eligible, yes!🧵(1/9)
