@jonny_trumble @jackconran8 I have often factored in overall trajectory of HbA1c readings (easy in primary care!) to reflect diabetic control and self Mx, however as HbA1c provides an average measure of glucose over the last 2-3 months do you think this has a role?!

@jackconran8 I work on rationale Independent prescribers clinical judgement: ✅ HbA1c ≤ 58 mmol/mol – good control ⚠️ HbA1c 59–69 mmol/mol – caution 🚫 HbA1c ≥ 70 mmol/mol – avoid elective 🚨 HbA1c ≥ 86 mmol/mol – high risk, optimise first ✅ Always check BM on day ⚠️steroid↑BM for 3–7d

Is there a BM/blood sugar level that injectors would not inject above? Ie a shoulder joint injection for example. I know PGD’s have limits but what about non-medical prescribers/doctors? @DrJN_SportsMed @BucksHandExpert @davebakerphysio

@thefizzeo @CSP_FCP Also something to be said of quantity doesn’t always equal quality - I’m sure if all 3 professions had high patients per hour ratios the outcomes; patient contacts per condition, patient satisfaction and not to mention clinical decision making are negatively impacted

If an FCP Paramedic/Pharmacist sees more patients per hour than an FCP MSK clinician, where would you spend your money as a PCN? Right clinician aside, as money talks. I wonder if ARRS funding will go to those clinicians who see the most? #FCP @CSP_FCP

As a trainee / soon to be new injector 20 mins 😥 would be an additional pressure 🕰️… Our appts our 20/30 min dependent on experience 7/8a
