@jaredpalmer @pablodecortes @github gotta wonder why it's still not possible to sort issues by created/updated date in Projects. Seems like an incredibly basic thing to want

@MaxTagher @OkoyaUsman @devhammed yea i generally have bitwarden generate 128 character passwords as well which is also the max. No idea if the fact that some sites truncate it to 72 chars makes it any less secure though. Cause like yea that's still 72 characters lol

@baswollenberg @OkoyaUsman @devhammed The 1Password app slider is 100 characters if you max out the length slider, so this tracks In practice I'd think security between 72 and 100 characters is similar, but it could freak out users or security researchers to see an incorrect password work

Password 1: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa1 Password 2: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa2 These two users can login to each other's accounts because brcypt caps hashing to the first 72 bytes.

@stbakez @stupidtechtakes @flutterwhat wtf isn't the whole thing about ecommerce that it's web-based? What ecommerce platform are we talking about here and how do you interact with it if not through a web browser?

@ignaseeo @notnullptr this one is still so funny to me i see people quoting it all the time to argue why Cloudflare is bad

@baswollenberg @catgirlprostate @dm4uz3 You're right I think, I stand corrected. While both immich machine learning, transcoding, and jellyfin work fine, true hardware encoding fails. FFMPEG recognizes the hardware is there, but fails to use it.

@baswollenberg @catgirlprostate @dm4uz3 Here are two snippets from what I run. One is a jellyfin container with hardware encoding and another is an immich container with hw accelerated machine learning. I do not recall how I verified that it was true hw acceleration (beyond basic functionality) rlim.com/K9JaNGMRZt

@mr_walderman @catgirlprostate @dm4uz3 i stand corrected. Looking more into it it does seem like you can passthrough Nvidia GPUs using the Nvidia Container Toolkit runtime for Intel and AMD (i)GPUs there also appears to be a workaround now through github.com/allfro/device-… are you using either of these or smth else?

@catgirlprostate @dm4uz3 so real. Docker Swarm is goated and it's a shame people barely seem to know about it. But it doesn't have device support so you can't use it if you need hardware transcoding sadly. And it's probably never coming given that Docker is fully focusing development on k8s instead :(

@ConRayArt stayed in an Airbnb once and streamed to the wrong Spotify Connect device. Imagine my surprise when i hear music coming from the tinny speaker in the thermostat of all things like someone had to develop and maintain that feature but why lmao

@dm4uz3 had a similar issue on a server once. It would drop random DNS requests a lot. "fixed" it by configuring Docker to use systemd-resolved which caches DNS queries, unlike Docker's embedded DNS server. guess i was just sending too many queries with the amount of containers running

@dimden the system itself has existed since 2017, but participation was optional so not all countries/banks put in the effort to implement it, often because they already had their own domestic instant payments system. It was only decided last year that it should become required EU-wide

banks in EU fucking suck. nothing works during weekend, and even on weekdays, if you send payment in second half of the day they'll only arrive tomorrow. in Ukraine all banks worked 24/7 and all payments always arrived instantly
