Why are tigers so conspicuously colored? Doesn't it give them away to prey? Well, they're conspicuous to us, with our trichromatic vision. But the species they typically hunt have dichromatic vision, and can't distinguish orange from green. To them, tigers are camouflaged!

Einstein's most famous equation, E=mc², demonstrated the equivalence of mass and energy, laying the foundation for the development of nuclear energy and atomic weapons. His theory of relativity, encompassing both special and general relativity, redefined our understanding of the fabric of the cosmos and the effects of gravity. In 1921, Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect, further solidifying his legacy. Beyond his scientific achievements, Einstein was known for his advocacy of pacifism, civil rights, and humanitarian causes.

I think this was in part his agony at the evil of the Nazis, in part not wanting to harm anyone in any way; but I ought to report that that letter had very little effect, and that Einstein himself is really not answerable for all that came later. Evergrande, one of China’s real estate giants, just filed Chapter 15 bankruptcy. Meanwhile, China’s HY real estate index is down a massive 82% in just over 2 years. This puts the index back down to 2008-levels. All while China just “unexpectedly” cut interest rates. Is China is on the brink of a credit event?
