Here is Laura Moodie from the Scottish Greens waxing lyrical about migrants. Meanwhile police at a school in her constituency of Dumfries have just given out rape alarms because hotel migrants have been hanging around and taking photos of kids.😡 How have we got to this point?

Keir Starmer is in the Gulf hoping to help broker the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, he can’t even control migrant dinghies and Russian warships in the Channel. What’s your reaction? 📞0344 499 1000 @JuliaHB1

@Grandaddy_Mac @Peter_POSH @afneil The point that you are missing is that things are getting worse under labour, not better. Let’s agree to disagree and leave it there.

@bavris1 @Peter_POSH @afneil You’re pointing at a couple of short-term stats and ignoring long-term decline. That doesn’t prove your point, it avoids it. If it’s all down to Labour, why were UK trade and investment already underperforming compared to similar countries before they took office?

@Grandaddy_Mac @Peter_POSH @afneil All of these have got worse since labour got elected, specifically after Reeves’ first budget. Inflation was at 2%, the previous 2 years U.K. was fastest growing European economy in G7. The worsening position since labour got elected has nothing to do with Brexit.

@bavris1 @Peter_POSH @afneil Slower growth, weaker trade, higher costs, those are exactly the long-term effects most economists warned Brexit would bring. That doesn’t disappear just because there’s a new government. Which of those started after Labour took office, not before?

@Grandaddy_Mac @Peter_POSH @afneil Since labour got elected: Unemployment up; Inflation up; Growth down; Welfare costs higher than income tax take for first time ever. They’ve made a bad situation considerably worse.

Make Europe Great Again - M.E.G.A
🚨🇬🇧BREAKING ALERT: NІGЕL FАRАGЕ has just unveiled a massive game-changing bill that could redefine exactly who is eligible to lead Brіtаіn. His rаdіcаl proposal would legally restrict the office of Prіmе Mіnіstеr and all seats in Pаrlіаmеnt only to those born on Brіtіsh soil. It is a ruthless but bold move meant to secure leaders with an unbreakable, lifelong bond to the nation's founding values. Do you think Brіtаіn's highest leadership should be strictly locked to those born in the UK? Is this the ultimate solution to safeguard the homeland, or does it cross the line? Drop your thoughts and join the massive debate right now!

@DaddyCoffee73 @TeresaWeath Of course. Their economies are negatively impacted too. The UK Channel Islands ignored Brexit border control rules completely as 90% of GDP is from tourists- many of them French, without passports. Their tourist sector remains strong, unlike the rest of UK which is down 9%

The EU Council have confirmed that they have established a UK "Office of Strategic Alignment" in Brussels. The EU are clearly prepared to let bygones be bygones and move forward graciously. Let’s not squander this opportunity! 🙏

Popped to Malta with the Times saying immigration would take up to 4 hours due to the EU’s new four fingers+photo rule but was through in 10 mins. Could see if I was at the back of the queue it would take an hour. Interested to know other passenger experience across Europe.

@dasvee @mikegardner_wb And yet we’ve still had more economic growth since 2016 than France, Germany and Italy (the 3 largest EU economies). So Brexit clearly didn’t ….

Reeves pushes business to ‘dangerous precipice’ It’s taken less than two years for Labour to inflict catastrophic structural damage on the economy. An almost unimaginable 3 years lies ahead for UK plc in the hands of these gormless socialist goons. telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…

.@UKLabour is the political wing of the Labour and Trade Union movement. It isn’t a fast food franchise that can be bought and sold. When you are briefed against on mental health you either stand up and fight or cower in a corner. I won’t cower. I will not be bullied.

@mikeysmith That's not the story, @mikeysmith, and you know it. The issue is Starmer signing us up to be rule-takers when that worst-of-both-worlds form of Brexit is something we can be pretty sure nobody thought they were getting when they voted.

@NealOKelly Despite the FTA there is still paperwork, custom checks. his point is that paying to align will remove these non tariff barriers The flaw in his “logic”is that 88% of the economy has nothing to do with the EU but will be hit with costs anyway, as we are seeing with marmalade.
