Just 11 World War 2 veterans at the Cenotaph this year. Here are 7 of them, including 104 year old Christian Lamb who mapped the Normandy beaches for D-Day troops from right here in Whitehall. It was her first time in the March past.

As part of the 360th @RoyalMarines Birthday celebrations; these travelled out to #gibraltar. They were auctioned for the @theRMcharity & sold for £800 a piece! I loved drawing this design; seeing it become a coin and now having these raise vital funds for the Corps charity 💚

Outstanding support from @RoyalNavy @FirstSeaLord @MartinJConnell @HMNBPortsmouth as personnel lined the Carrier and Dockyard to wave our Veterans off as we set sail to take them back to Normandy for the D-Day 80th commemorative events. BZ everyone, the Veterans loved it

As I prepare for an early start taking nine Normandy Veterans back to Normandy for the 80th commemorative events I can already tell that it's going to be a very emotional and poignant week
