ITV cut away from live coverage of Belgium vs Iran to bring a really emotional segment led by Emma Hayes.
After giving her initial analysis on the first half so far, she gave an impassioned speech and paid tribute to the dads out there on Fathers Day.
Hayes said: "One last thing, happy Fathers Day to everyone at home. I know it's a great day. Its also my father's heavenly birthday today and I just want to say one thing to him up in heaven: Thank you for giving me so much confidence to have the opportunity to do this [be a World Cup pundit. And so I leave you with this."
Then, she turned round to reveal a message on the back her jacket that reads: "She will change the world."
So powerful. 👏🏻
As an English football supporter I'd just like to say.
👆 Fuck Scotland.
👈 Fuck Wales.
👈 Fuck Eire/The Republic/Free State
👉👉You wankers.👈👈
Northern Ireland, you're alright though.
Suggestions that England supporters aren't going to be allowed to drape flags over the hoardings tomorrow.
One of the great sights in international football are the St George Crosses from every part of the country.
Absolutely ludicrous.
🏴
This couldn’t be further from the truth, world class is top 3 in your position:
Harry Kane is a top 3 CF
Declan Rice is a top 3 CM
Jude Bellingham is a top 3 #10
Reece James is a top 3 RB
Bukayo Saka is a top 3 RW
At the very least, there’s 5 world class players with players like Marcus Rashford, Elliot Anderson and Nico O’Reilly all on the fringes.
When I was a kid growing up, everyone wanted all the English sides to do well in Europe saying "It's good for English football." Things seemed to have changed though amongst modern football fans and it is weird that people are wildly celebrating Arsenal's loss to PSG.
@inmymindbag@l0ttiehall You are really really really dumb. First, primary goes to age 12, second you teach one year in primary not all ages , his group is the older bracket , cop on. 12 year old were watching big brother back in the day
Nah I can’t believe Sean is a primary school teacher. Imagine the kids watching him get off with girls, the parents will surely be livid?!! There’s no way the school are ok with it 🫣🫣 #loveisland
The World Cup kick off times are fine. England games are 9pm, 9pm, 10pm. Stop this faux outrage because you can’t watch Uzbekistan vs. Colombia at 3am.
🚨🎙️Ian Wright on Matvey Safonov's towel for the TAB session during the penalty shootout in the champions league final against Arsenal:
“I’m sorry, but this has to be looked at properly. What Matvey Safonov did with that towel is straight-up cheating. Full stop.
“if we’re being consistent, football cannot pick and choose when information gathering is acceptable. We saw clubs investigated over scouting and intelligence-gathering scandals before. So explain to me the difference here.
You’ve got a PSG goalkeeper sitting there with a full tactical cheat sheet tucked into his towel, player names, numbers, flags, penalty tendencies, instructions like ‘FRAPPE FORT’, ‘SLOW SKIPPING’, ‘TAB 90’, the lot. He’s got Gyökeres, Kai Havertz, the works mapped out like it’s an open-book exam. This isn’t preparation, this is espionage in plain sight during a European tie against Arsenal.
“We’re not talking about instinct, preparation, or reading body language. We’re talking about a physical reference sheet being available during the shootout.
“If Southampton can face scrutiny over ‘spygate’ accusations, then UEFA should at least examine this as well. Either gathering opponent information is part of modern football or it isn’t. The rules cannot change depending on who wins the trophy.
“People will say, ‘Every club does penalty research.’ Fine. Do the research. But where is the line? Can you carry databases onto the pitch? Can coaches feed information every kick? Can players walk around with scouting reports in their socks?
“The problem isn’t PSG. The problem is consistency. Arsenal lose a Champions League final and suddenly everyone says it’s smart preparation. If Arsenal had won with a goalkeeper carrying a detailed PSG penalty guide, I guarantee half of Europe would be demanding an investigation.
“UEFA doesn’t even need to punish anyone. Just tell us clearly what is and isn’t allowed. Because if this is completely legal, then every goalkeeper in Europe will be turning up to penalty shootouts with a cheat sheet the size of a textbook next season.”
Worth remembering that in our two Champions League final appearances we've narrowly lost to the undisputed best teams in Europe at the time - prime Ronaldinho-era Barca, and a PSG side that battered Inter 5-0 in last season's final.
Back in the day, Fergie's United got played off the park twice by Pep's Barca. Klopp lost two finals to Real Madrid and his only final victory came against *Spurs* for crying out loud.
Recent wins by United, Liverpool, and Chelsea also came via penalties. Even treble-winning City only beat a poor Inter side 1-0 and struggled to play their best football.
Yes we can improve but a bit more luck and we're 100% lifting this trophy in the next 2-3 years.
Goodbye Liverpool/Goodbye Pep Scorer/Card double. Banking on Salah being actually chosen by Slot, having a point to prove and whipping off the shirt with a goodbye message. Similarly with Haaland, surely got to have a goodbye Pep message underneath the shirt! Banker.

@bazil1987@UtdMicah Doesnt touch Martinez arms at all. Difference yesterday one defender holding Raya arm while his arm across his throat and other defender pulling on Raya shirt
@UtdMicah Looks like hes holding his elbow up rather than grabbing him. At least his arm isn't across the keepers neck and another player pulling on his jersey otherwise that would be disallowed
