@bbdesanti You hace made it up us what you have done.
For a female to develop testes she must have a functioning SRY gene. Females do not have the gene so cannot develop testes.
English

@bbdesanti No they dont.
An enlarged clitoris is not a penis.
Females do not develop testes only males do.
English

@SianHerfield They do tho. That's usually why they end up having a larger than normal clitoris.
I'm referring to the definition of that type of case; it's said that there is a uterus, ovaries, and testicles, which may or may not develop partially (In other words, it only remains as tissue) +
English

@SianHerfield Yes, Jenny. The part about penises referred to intersex women who have a partially developed penis and then fix it with surgery. That's it. I mentioned it several times, OTDSD only refers to the uterus, ovaries, and testicles (By definition of the condition, not my words)
English

@bbdesanti Females with PCOS have high levels of testosterone but are female not male with no prnis and only ovaries.
Females with CAH have higher testosterone but only ovaries no penis.
Females with OTDSD have ovatestis and no penis.
English

@bbdesanti @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith Not in levels greater than any other female they dont.
English

@bbdesanti @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith No they dont as the tissue cannot produce anything as it is not a developed organ.
English

@SianHerfield @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith Exactly. That's why they don't have sperm, but sometimes they end up producing testosterone.
English

@bbdesanti @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith Testicular tissue cannot preform the functions of developed testicals.
English

@SianHerfield @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith Yes, but because of this testicular tissue they produce more testosterone than normal, which is why they have those symptoms. It can be treated with medicine or surgery.
English

@bbdesanti @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith All females produce testosterone their sex is still female & they do not develop a penis.
Females cannot produce enough testosterone in order to develop a penis as females DO NOT HAVE TESTICALS.
English

@SianHerfield @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith Please read my comment again. There's not much I can add about that.
English

@bbdesanti @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith No they dont.
Females do not have testicals and females with OTDSD can have an ovatestis which IS NOT A TESTICAL. If they had testicals they could develope a penis but females cannot because females do not have testicals.
English

@bbdesanti @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith It doesn't function because it is just tissue not a formed organ which is what testicals are.
English

@SianHerfield @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith They produce testosterone, and this can usually manifest as increased body hair or by giving them slightly more androgynous features. You're confusing the word tissue with fibrous tissue, which usually doesn't have a function (And they are usually found in scars)
English

@SianHerfield @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith The testicles are complex organs with multiple functions. It is called testicular tissue because it is not a complete testicle and is only composed of the same cells. Some testicular tissues do not perform this function, but others do +
English

@SianHerfield @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith Just because it's called tissue doesn't mean it doesn't have a function. In fact, we have different types of tissues that perform different functions. Muscle and nerve tissue, for example.
English

@SianHerfield @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith It works. They are called testicular tissues because they are tissues that are part of a testicle (that is, made up of the same cells as a testicle) and can at least partially perform its function. In this case, what they usually do is generate testosterone +
English

@rustynew386 @SianHerfield @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith Man. I'm asking the other person what THEY think about it. I already know what YOU think, but maybe this other person could have a different perspective about it.
English

@bbdesanti @SianHerfield @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith What part of 'developed down the mullerian pathway' do you not understand?
English

@SianHerfield @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith Yes. They contain testicular tissue that performs the function of a testicle (For example, generating testosterone), except they usually lack sperm. 😭
English

@bbdesanti @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith No they are not testicals. Ovatestis are gonad/s that contain ovarian and/or testicular tissue. They are not testicals or ovaries. They do not function.
If a person has testicals they are male sex.
No female has a penis.
English

@rustynew386 @SianHerfield @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith I'm just asking if they consider them women because they have testicles. They have a uterus, ovaries, and testicles, which is a medical fact that any of us can verify in any moment tbh, nothing else.
English

@bbdesanti @SianHerfield @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith No. Some women, such as those with Swyers have streak gonads. These produce neither gamete.
In cases where ovotestis have been found only females have been fertile.
However these cases are extremely rare. Less than 500 cases documented.
English

@SianHerfield @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith They are testicles and have their own function of generating testosterone; they simply do not usually contain sperm.
English

@bbdesanti @rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith OTDSD affects males & females & a female can be born with an ovary & ovatestis which is not a testicals and not a penis. If they are born with testicals they are male and do not have OTDSD
English

@rustynew386 @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith So you are discriminating against certain intersex women and men. I got it, don't worry. If you've already decided that, it's fine.
English

@bbdesanti @Mazclin @ZephyrBluePaddy @whooith Women with XY chromosomes, who developed primarily down the mullerian pathway, due to a lack of the SRY gene or any other anomaly is still a woman.
A man who developed a fully male body is a man. Even if he gets castrated and takes estrogen.
English
