Hey @SteaknShake what the fuck man. You limit refills? I just wasted all of them because y'all had run out of syrup. Got rid of the counter help so I can't ask for help. Took me like 20 minutes to talk to a cook. Not cool
Not cool. Bring back the old diner style of service PLEASE

@mattjay @HackingLZ All for vulnerability research but I prefer when we avoid this style of gloating. It's kinda tactless, makes people hate us, and then ultimately looks dumb if your assumptions turned out to be wrong later on.

TL;DR - guy thinks he hacked Perplexity.
Perplexity responds with "lol, no our billing is just async. check your inbox."
Guy finds his bill: *shocked pikachu*

Downloading an app for a specific fast food place is one of those things that should be a wakeup call
You should not be going often enough that that's necessary

@AyshaSusmaz Actually we bombed mainland japan over 300 times. Plus we firebombed Tokyo. Death toll is between 225-900k not counting the deaths from the atomic bombs
English

Muslims didn’t bomb Japan twice and kill 200,000. Facts matter.

@michael_kove @IT_unhinged But if not, the car is finished in half the time promised and the customer is incredibly pleased and now I have someone who will keep coming back for service.
English

@michael_kove @IT_unhinged Not to mention, it also acts as a safety net. I work full time as a service advisor at a dealer, A customer comes in for an oil change, I always tell them it'll take an hr and a half. (It almost always takes 45 min.) But in case something comes up. I already bought time.

Someone from Finance just asked me to recover a file they deleted "by accident."
I checked the trash. Not there.
I checked the backup. Found it. Restored it in 2 minutes.
But I didn't tell them that.
I said, "Let me see what I can do. This might take a while since the file was permanently deleted. I'll need to check our backup archives."
Then I went to the break room, got coffee, scrolled through my phone for 20 minutes.
Came back and sent them the file with: "Got lucky - found it in a backup snapshot from last night. Anything older would have been much harder to retrieve."
They replied: "You're a lifesaver! Thank you so much!"
Here's why I do this:
If people think file recovery is quick and easy, they'll be careless. They'll delete things and just assume I can magic them back.
But if they think I had to dig through archives and got "lucky," they'll be more careful next time.
Plus, now I look like a hero instead of someone who just clicked "restore."

@Mike_Scully_ Get a cheaper apartment. Buy a house. I make roughly 3600/mo before tax (after bonuses roughly 6500). I saved up and put 10% down on a $150000 house. My interest is 5.70% and I have a 30 year term. My payments are roughly 800/mo but I pay 1000/mo to decrease my interest paid.

@SawyerMerritt I dunno, for a dinosaur I've got 600k miles on my 2015 F-250. All I've done is oil changes, fuel filters and fill the gas tank. I wonder how many battery packs and or motors a Tesla would've gone through 🤔
insideevs.com/news/699413/hi…
Not saying it's not impressive! Just expensive!
English

Jumping from my Model Y into a gas car feels like driving a dinosaur. It can’t drive itself, you have to manually push the brake pedal at every stop, it’s over-the-air software updates are limited, the acceleration feels slow by comparison, and you have to push a button to start the car.
In Tesla’s words: Some buttons starts cars. Others start the future.
