I sat down with @briebriejoy to expand on the video post I made a few days ago and to answer questions regarding the specific posts I've made that offend the sensibilities of some.
This will be the only further commentary I'm going to make on this matter. I wasn't going to talk about it beyond my post, but as there were still unanswered questions, I thought perhaps this could help clarify my position, because there still seems to be a gap in the way people understand the ways in which power and powerless can give the same words different weight and even different meaning.
Also, because Briahna Joy Gray is one of my favorite podcasters.

I campaigned on a commitment to create the Department of Community Safety, an unprecedented, whole-of-government approach to making sure every New Yorker is safe in our city. We just took a major step towards achieving it.
Today, I signed an Executive Order creating the Office of Community Safety, led by our new Deputy Mayor Renita Francois. This office will focus on preventing gun-violence, meeting mental health crises with trained professionals, exploring innovative approaches to crime prevention, tackling hate crimes, and supporting survivors.
Our city has the power to forge a bold, forward-looking vision for community safety -- and we're wasting no time using it.

Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba
I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film
As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes
It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions.
But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken
