@JeffPassan The players are completely right to dig their heels in here. Ownership groups are making record profits and refusing to invest back into the actual talent.

I do think this World Cup took control of the country in a way none other has…mostly because it was here but also because we looked good during a lot of it Throw in real stars Americans know (Messi, Mbappe and Ronaldo) and great stories (Cape Verde) and the country bought in
