Pride in sports DOES matter. There are plenty like me who want to know that sports is a place where we can all get along and not face public harassment. It has never been about special privilege or forcing our lifestyle onto you. For some, sports is all they have.

Just proving further why pride still needs to be recognized on the level it is. We are people. We go through a lot of hate and lots of us lose family, friends, and respect just because of what we do in our private lives. It’s not about politics. It’s about basic human empathy.
