Some rules make your life easy. Here are few that work for me 1) Use physical limits to manage your possessions. If your books do not fit on the shelf, you own too many books. For every new item brought into the room, one old item must leave. 2) Give a clear no early. This is more helpful than a maybe that becomes a late cancellation. 3) Sleep is the Foundation. Prioritise rest to maintain your brain. You cannot work your way out of poor sleep. 4) Build a daily routine to ensure repeated success. System over goals. 5) Spend all your energy on your own actions. Ignore the weather, the politics, the war and the opinions of others. 6) Create a ‘personal uniform’ to eliminate decision fatigue in the morning. 7) Automate your savings/investments to leave your bank account before you have a chance to spend it. 8) Evaluate risk vs reward. Recognise when better is no longer worth the extra effort. 9) Night time hygiene. Takes me almost 30 mins but non negotiable. 10) Keep cupboards and working tables organised/empty. Visual clutter is mental clutter.
