@OracleIndy @JohnRust_IN We already got an email from REMC for our second house asking everyone to turn stuff down or off to avoid blackouts. And the same morons that approve these things will block any nuclear power plans. Which is what is needed to run these things.

I don't think the vast majority of the Indiana population have any clue how strained the current grid is and what it will take to increase the generation capacity that will be required to support these new "data centers." I also doubt many realize that the deals being cut with the mega companies dictates that, in the event of a shortage, they absolutely will be served first, even if it means a complete blackout of residential service. It will cost countless billions to increase capacity to support everyone and that doesn't begin to discuss the other resources that will be needed to make it work. It has disaster written all over it.....

NO to Data Centers - Keep Indiana for HOOSIERS. Indiana is being sold out by career politicians who care only about lining their pockets for their next election... not what Indiana looks like for our children, and our children's children. From massively increasing electricity costs, water being literally drained from our state, to property taxes being pushed up and up.. all to subsidize GOOGLE, META's Mark Zuckerberg & AMAZON’s Jeff Bezos. Indiana is literally being sucked dry by our political establishment... we must take a stand NOW and say NO to Data Centers. @RobProvince Just got a bid to re-do our master bath. Now, it was adding a tub (just have a shower now) and moving a door. Bid was $68,000. Said it would take them 4-6 weeks. Just one dude who subs out plumbing and electrical. I priced out all materials. 15k No thanks. Not paying that

I don’t know how people who don’t know how to do stuff like this make it. The estimates from the insurance buds were over $10,000 for all the structural and cosmetic repairs. I did it for about $350.

The roof failed in February. It’s finally back together and just need to strip and stain the window trim…..
