@NatetheLawyer So, since she is on camera saying she is leaving BEFORE they come up to her and the officer is not supposed to be in front of her vehicle, AND the video shows she cut the wheel away from him, you admit that Good's killing wasn't justified, right?
English

I REST MY CASE.
Look at the responses.
Nate The Lawyer@NatetheLawyer
Legally, both were justified. However, based on who you voted for, I bet you only see one of these cases as valid self-defense.
English

@AngelaBelcamino The fact that this is your framing, means you aren't a classic liberal.
English

@shortmagsmle The Attorney General is SUPPOSED to be pretty independent.
English

Jim:
The person who runs the Justice Department works directly for the President.
That person is called an “Attorney General” and they are part of what’s called the President’s “Cabinet.”
That’s why sometimes it feels like they’re working together! They are!

Jim Cramer@jimcramer
The Justice Department is so in league with the president... it is hard to believe they take themselves seriously
English

@mschlapp It actively didn't.
More people had Healthcare coverage than ever before. If it had gone futher, it would have been more successful
English

@RekietaLaw NOW you are just lying.
The wheel was turned before he drew, the space was too close for imminent death or harm to himself other and public UNTIL he shot her and then the vehicle became an uncontrolled machine
English

The FIRST obligation was for the car not to drive into the officer
milkchaser@milkchaser
@awstar11 Even assuming the preposterous notion that she had murderous intent, his first obligation was to evade her car. Instead, he stood his ground with his hand on his holster ready to drawn down on her.
English

@IamSean90 Even with the officers angle you still don't see an impact and he was not only able to keep his phone in his hand but walk away very easily
English

Democrat media outlets went out of their way to pick the camera angle that looked the worst for the cop, & only showed that angle repeatedly then pretended she was shot randomly. With that a head start you only got 53% to buy in. You'll be underwater soon on this
Jon Favreau@jonfavs
28% of Americans think ICE was justified in shooting Renee Good 53% think the ICE agent should face criminal charges
English

@NatetheLawyer @Chef_Skidmark But we do look at what a REASONABLE officer would believe. With the distance and the wheel turning away, and the officers duty to get out of the way, a reasonable officer would not shoot.
English

@Chef_Skidmark Graham asks what a reasonable officer would believe not what Twitter feels. Barnes says look at the whole encounter, not a gotcha screenshot. The phone argument is political ragebait BS. Goode is justified.
Bet you voted for Kamala.
English

@SenMullin I mean, except he had the duty to get out of the way. And he is not supposed to be in front of the vehicle
English

@ShamashAran Point out any spot where they say she's under arrest. Also the cop was so scared that he didn't even drop his phone while he drew his gun and shot her.
English

@BobWhencer @BabySluggo @Lor_blueeyes @shipwreckedcrew Exactly what the video shows. Pulling the gun on her. Trying to get into the vehicle. Circling the video. Shooting her 3 times.
English

False.
But then again, I only prosecuted federal crimes for 21 years. What do I know?
Turnbull@cturnbull1968
And that’s another thing, ICE has no jurisdiction over American citizens.
English

@BobWhencer @BabySluggo @Lor_blueeyes @shipwreckedcrew Not "unprofessional". Reckless. Endangering. Against all safety protocols. Putting himself and every one there in danger, and over extending authority irresponsibly.
English

@bducksav @BabySluggo @Lor_blueeyes @shipwreckedcrew Sorry, you have granted obstruction, no takebacks.
So, your best and most honest argument here is that ICE were unprofessional in attempting to arrest Good, and acted with questionable justification when shooting her.
Which is true.
Having a tantrum about obstruction isn't it.
English

@BobWhencer @BabySluggo @Lor_blueeyes @shipwreckedcrew I still say that the duties were not impeded. The agents STILL DID THEIR DUTIES WITH NO DIFFICULTY
English

@bducksav @BabySluggo @Lor_blueeyes @shipwreckedcrew Then you are granting obstruction, by definition.
English

@BobWhencer @Lor_blueeyes @BabySluggo @shipwreckedcrew The fact that people don't get arrested with this. The proper way to have them move. Which they tried to prevent and then killed her.
English

@BobWhencer @BabySluggo @Lor_blueeyes @shipwreckedcrew I can grant impeding. But the fact they can get around still hurts their argument, by a lot.
English

@bducksav @BabySluggo @Lor_blueeyes @shipwreckedcrew She was interfering with the traffic, and she was in the way of the trucks., she blocked the flow of traffic on that side of the road.
By all three definitions of the verb, she was obstructing.

English

@BobWhencer @Lor_blueeyes @BabySluggo @shipwreckedcrew They can go around. This wouldn't meet up to any obstruction that would require arrest or even detaining. Let alone killing someone
English

@bducksav @BobWhencer @Lor_blueeyes @shipwreckedcrew She did…. She was blocking the correct lane of travel. If I have to go into oncoming lanes that’s obstructing…. She was also interfering bozo.
English

@bducksav @BobWhencer @Lor_blueeyes @shipwreckedcrew She is. Police don’t have to go into the wrong lane of travel bozo
English
