@sammy_ameobi @Kershaw444 Serious question, do you think you’d play your top boys if you progress but still in relegation danger? What would Marinakis instruct Pereira to do

@bdv10 @Kershaw444 I understand you want us knackered as such but our second string did better than a lot of first teamers tonight so more than happy with that!

@sammy_ameobi @Kershaw444 I completely get the adventure part of it and as a fan that’s what you’d want but I’m sure West Ham fans, Spurs fans and us are hoping it gives us an advantage in the relegation scrap

@bdv10 @Kershaw444 I’m really not too fussed. Further we get the better. Yeh it’s more travel and an extra game every few weeks but we are enjoying the adventure. Only like being in the FA cup or somet. Unbelievable memories these nights

@sammy_ameobi @Kershaw444 Still more travel than no travel. Whoever it is next the intensity goes up a notch at every stage. Also if it is a poor side it means another 4 games minimum with 2 of them being semi finals.

@bdv10 @Kershaw444 They’ll travel less time now than they will for a game in London or on the south coast. I hope it is Porto they look as poor tonight as they did when we beat them 2-0 a few months ago.

@sammy_ameobi @Kershaw444 They still all have to travel and go through match day routines. Also, not just about this game it’s the next round too where there’ll be more travel and 2 games against probably a tougher opponent.

@ChatForest1865 @SkySportsNews Put like that it does sound like 7 might do it but it only takes a weekend of results to go for you against you and it can all look so different. I’ve said it’ll take 42 this season for a while now and still think it will.

@SkySportsNews Forest fan in peace I think 7 pts does it for Leeds. Means both West Ham & Forest need 3 wins & 2 draws from last 8 which is unlikely. Forest have got to win 3 of their 4 home games (Villa, Burnley, Newcastle & Bournemouth) in my opinion & not lose to Spurs/Sunderland (a)

@MickyPKerr @radio_bellers Sorry, I should’ve read your post more closely. Yes, completely agree. Regardless of UEFA’s messing with the format if you were to name your last 8 at start of tournament you’d probably get at least 6 correct.

@radio_bellers Yeah, we’ve concentrated all the world’s best players and the football is negative and paranoid. That’s a wider cultural issue but the fact is that the PL outspends every other league combined. It would be way better if we cultivated more home grown talent instead.

At some point, senior Premier League execs have to offer a proper explanation in public for their leniency towards Chelsea. They owe an explanation to fans of clubs punished more harshly. They owe an explanation to those clubs who did abide by the rules. They have to offer some explanation as to why PSR breaches are deemed far more serious than acts of "deception and concealment". Yes, these are the offences of a previous regime at Chelsea. But inconsistencies run through the PL's defence and their reputation is damaged. They can’t hide from a controversy of this magnitude.

This is the punishment for 36 undisclosed payments worth £47.5m over 11 years relating to player transfers. Reminder: the Premier League wanted Everton deducted 12 points for a £19.5m FFP overspend and didn’t think a fine was a suitable punishment

@asyouwereS6 Sheffield Wednesday fans where not complaining when they where spending more than they could afford and Chelsea self reported to get a lesser charge if they didnt report it they could of gotten away with it altogether it was never picked up in financial reports

@KieranMaguire @nffc_14 So stretching a point here is this a precedent that to avoid a points deduction for breaching PSR you can deal with unlicensed agents as the payments won’t show in accounts and then self report at the end of accounting period

@nffc_14 Because the payments were to people who were unlicenced agents and therefore could not be seen to have a relationship with such characters.

Interesting that in the Everton points deduction verdict the Premier League said “A financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner is not a sufficient penalty” and that “the requirements of deterrence, vindication of compliant clubs, and the protection of the integrity of the sport demand a sporting sanction in the form of a points deduction’. Presumably the Chelsea fine (which ultimately is just a deduction from what billion dollar Clearlake will pay to billionaire Abramovich from the £150m held back at the deal date) is then neither punishment, a deterrent or protecting the integrity of the sport? If I was an Everton or Forest fan would not be happy with this outcome.

Start of the season most said 10 wins keeps us up but everyone acknowledge survival was going to be difficult especially after the transfer window closed without further signings. Farke has done a great job, to have us in contention for survival is more than I expected, yes we need a couple of wins, couple of draws to hit 40 points but if he keeps us up he has exceeded all my expectations when he arrived at Leeds #lufc
