Literally *everything* that happens in your cloud provider are things that we did, professionally, in datacenters, before there was a cloud provider. You can do them. It's not magic. You might choose not to! Which is great. I choose not to! But it's not because we can't. :)

Never take advice from someone who hasn't achieved the thing they're advising about. Incredibly underrated hack.

Most people agree that if you've only ever worked at sub-50 person startups, there's a steep learning curve to be in a bigCo. What astounds me is how few people understand the opposite. Just because you've led teams of 200 does NOT mean you're ready for a whole company of 10.

As a newly minted software founder (who was also a complete little shit to vendors for decades), the wisdom here resonates deeply with me. I’ve never met Charity, but I’d like to.
Charity Majors@mipsytipsy

"People used to take me and my technical opinions seriously. But then I became a software vendor." charity.wtf/2023/03/28/que… I wrote a long and winding reply to this question, because I *absolutely* remember when this happened to me. Yeah dude, that was trippy. ☺️

While your sensitive data and info are precious, people across DevSecOps and beyond all just want to know WHO to talk to. That information doesn't need to be a secret. hubs.li/Q01H63kq0
