@norcalnotrump @TravelGov I would never recommend online to anyone - I did finally receive my passport but it took 12 weeks! No one signed up to be part of a beta test - that should have been disclosed before using the online service

@TravelGov @beachgal610 That’s not what the contact center said. Based on the other replies, we’re all hearing that online applicants have to wait 5 days before travel, regardless if there’s a visa or other requirements before their trip. This online passport application is a total disaster.

@BtownNomad @destinysdoor Status update - received my passport today in the mail! I was at the 12 week mark - I also checked my status earlier in the week and it still said “In process” I hope you both get yours soon!

@destinysdoor @TravelGov @beachgal610 Any update for you guys? I know we’re all in the same boat. 5 days from travel for me. No change yet. Woman on call line sent an “alert.” (No idea if that does anything.) No appts available nationwide. So far my congressional reps haven’t gotten movement either. You guys?

@TravelGov @manfredhwf I chose routine service and my passport has been “in process” for almost 12 weeks! This is ridiculous - DO BETTER! Tons of people are getting screwed because of your negligence

@BtownNomad @destinysdoor @TravelGov It’s absolutely ridiculous that a simple renewal is taking this long - and the lack of assistance from the Department of State is deplorable! Someone needs to be held accountable for tons of people who have lost money and gotten screwed in this process

@BtownNomad @destinysdoor @TravelGov As of last week I was still “in process” the stress this has put on me is indescribable! I did reach out to my local senators office and did hear back from them! I’m hoping that may help! I’m honestly wondering if this would be grounds for a lawsuit!

@destinysdoor @TravelGov I completely agree! It should have been expected that there would be an influx of people needing passport services due to people traveling again - this shouldn’t have been a beta test! Good people are getting screwed

@TravelGov @beachgal610 I’m sorry, but no one “Volunteered to test out your online system.” People applied based on the information on your website, paid expedited fees, and are getting screwed over. I travel on Saturday and have no info on my application stuck in “Received” for weeks.

@TravelGov @steph_dominguez I also did online renewal for standard processing time which is 8-11 weeks - it’s 11 weeks this week that my passport renewal has been “in process” - I’m in what you are calling the standard time and about to pass that and still no passport - it’s infuriating

@MollieDronson @TravelGov I feel your pain! I submitted my renewal on December 11th - my status has been “in process” for 11 weeks now! And when you call you can’t even get a live person on the phone! The whole thing is a joke! I regret not sending by mail!

@MollieDronson @TravelGov So she paid for expedited service and instead of helping her you are giving her an option for a refund?! This system is BROKEN! People do everything right and are still getting screwed! No reason a simple renewal should take that long period!

@TravelGov my passport renewal has been “in process” for 11 weeks! That is your standard turnaround time - why hasn’t it been approved?! I leave for international travel in the beginning of April, I provided more than enough time! When will I get my passport?!

@TravelGov I’m traveling abroad in April renewed my passport in DECEMBER it’s still in process this whole situation is absolutely ridiculous! It’s also impossible to get someone on the phone - DO SOMETHING to help the people that did it the right way and are getting screwed
