Shortly thereafter, I watched my siblings slowly abandon my mother as her dementia progressed. First in their hearts, when they realized the woman they knew wasn't coming back. And then in actuality, by carelessness and neglect, doing the bare minimum their egos required to sustain their basic moral narcissism. Eventually, I had to put her in a home - the last thing she wanted - because I couldn't care for her alone. True love is rare. If you find it, cherish it. Let it change your life. Pay the price it demands. Until you do, learn to rely completely on yourself, and don't fully trust any love until it's been tested. That way, broken promises from weak souls will feel like disappointment instead of betrayal. And real love that endures through hardship will genuinely feel like the rare, beautiful gift that it is.

anyone know about stimulant meds causing seeming heart pain but with nothing showing up on an ekg and normal bloodwork? seems to be a common complaint that people just learn to ignore

@gptbrooke @forgingtowards I trialled the litter robot 4 for a couple weeks and returned it; our cat absolutely hated having their regular litter box removed. But the return process was hassle-free, it might be a worthwhile experiment
