@beargoggles88 @gr617_josh @cheeseheadtv If people said this it wasn’t for the Bears specifically. The team needs to get like this for the entire division. Everyone in the North needs the validation of beating GB, we clearly don’t feel the same about them which can be at a fault at times

@gr617_josh @cheeseheadtv It’s working for Ben’s version of the Bears. MLF is a hell of a play caller but from the outside looking in… he could use some more “fuck the bears” energy.

@beargoggles88 @cheeseheadtv I mean you aren’t completely wrong on Matt Lafluer energy. Your organization hires head coaches and mentions the packers, your players go on podcasts (beyond this scenario) and talks packers, your fans chant “fuck GB” at baseball games. That level of obsession is not healthy lol

@craftybarrister @Peter_Bukowski The backup QB in green bay does not get a keycard to the building. They hide their playbook in facility where they can’t find it. They don’t hear the game plan, take mental reps, or learn the playcalls. It’s quite a system. But who am I to argue… it works!

Bro, this is Year 9. If he was gonna break out, he’d have broken out.
SleeperCommanders@SleeperWSH

According to @TheAthleticNFL staff, DT Daron Payne is the #Commanders' top breakout candidate for the 2026 season. If Payne has a breakout year, it could be huge for this unit. In my eyes, the argument hinges on Washington's line depth. Having guys like Tim Settle Jr. and Jer'Zhan Newton in the mix to help with the DT duties is nice as it frees up Payne to move around, play aggressively, and wreck game plans. If Daronte Jones is able to scheme Payne out of double teams, I'm looking for him to make a big impact on this defense. Article linked 👇 | #RaiseHail

Yeah, we’ve sucked for awhile. However, since 12 left, GB has limped in as the 7th seed and has won the same number of playoff games as Caleb Williams. Glad to see that $55 million per year is paying off. My point is that you all are on a slippery slope of living in the past. Very Bears fan like. The league also just told you that they don’t view Love as a top 10 QB. With all your playoff choke jobs, having a QB that the league loved was one of your prized possessions. Must be why yall are crashing out so hard.

@bevkingmelo @TheCptGreybeard @PackHQ10 @BussinWTB Keep up this energy and your team will continue to blow 21-3 leads and cry when a rival coach says “fuck the packers” and get in MLF’s head over media shots and handshakes. Pookie should probably match the energy or he’ll keep getting disrespected by his peers.

Question- are you part of that fanbase that was pearl clutching when Ben Johnson said “fuck the packers” and did a drive by handshake? Sounds pretty soft. Maybe your team and coach should match the energy in the Bears building towards their rival and you won’t blow a 21-3 lead in the playoffs and your QB won’t be excluded from top 10 lists from his peers and league personnel 🤷‍♂️

The rules are different because Love is on his second contract (a big one). He’s paid to be the reason they win games. He’s paid to make the last play in the face of adversity. Hes very good and efficient but you are paying him as a difference maker in key moments. If he doesn’t make the play, hes going to judge harsher than the actual second year player.

Very funny Caleb’s season which he played does not count but Bears fans love to count the seasons Jordan Love did not play. Once again, different rules for Love
Ben Johnson’s Nephew@rolltigas

@Peter_Bukowski Caleb’s rookie season was essentially last year. It was the first time he was in an offense with a competent play caller. So I’d say they had pretty comparable first real seasons

Yes, agreed. He is highly efficient and puts up great numbers. Wins aren’t a QB stat but people tend to not care what a QB stats are without wins. Especially once they get paid. I would personally put him in my top 10 list. Herbert being there and Love not doesn’t make sense to me.

@beargoggles88 @TylerHerrick I can agree with this. I’m in the camp of Love is not a Favre/Rodgers level qb but in the current landscape i’d put him between 6-10. I think the perception of him is higher if he wins the playoff game against Chicago.

Just passing through. I have enjoyed this discussion. I think the contract plays a big part of it. More is expected from Love because he’s paid handsomely and that’s likely what is giving him such a shorter leash. I can’t explain Herbert. If Herbert is on this list… Love should be too.

this, precisely. can’t expect jordan love or the packers to gain national acclaim after getting bounced in the first round in back-to-back years—i don’t care for context or any justification—and choking a three-score lead to their rival. they have to earn that spotlight again
Grant Bilse@WiscoGrant

losing repeatedly in the first round has consequences! remember the Bucks stopped getting christmas games and Giannis wasn't in the thick of the MVP discussions anymore

My point was that your fanbase is used to two hall of fame QBs that were wildly respected by the NFL landscape for their talents. Love isn’t at that level yet among his peers (based on these two lists) Love is efficient and a very good QB. However, the league is telling you that they don’t fear him (at least not yet) like those other two. But yet- GB fan accounts pound their chest and claim Love is elite and dismiss anyone that doesn’t agree as “non ball knowers”. Love is paid handsomely. He needs to do more… divisions, longer playoff runs, more clutch moments. He’s very good. Good can win a SB. The league doesn’t view him as elite yet and it feels like your fanbase is getting used to not everyone agreeing your QB is elite. This is not to say CW is elite. CW has a lot more development to do… he’s a young player on the rise. He gets a longer leash bc he hasn’t been paid yet.

Yes, that’s what you get when you were drafted in 2020 and awarded a massive contract extension. Love got to sit and learn from a great. He’s had stability in the same system since he was drafted. He was given a literal boatload of cash. His leash isn’t as long as a young second year player like Caleb. Compare Love to his own draft class. Not Caleb. There are different rules for second contract QBs…

@beargoggles88 @TylerHerrick Like I said, can play great all game, but 1 not perfect play is what he’s getting judged on. Yet Caleb is below average all game, but 1 good throw is what he’s getting judged on. Love’s held to unrealisticly high standards, Caleb’s held to not being complete ass.

He might be… I mean, there’s no ‘wrong’ answer - Jayden Daniels - could have been MVP as a rookie, carried a typically weak team - Caleb Williams - major improvement in year 2, Magic in the late, late clutch, sky is the limit - Drake Maye - could have been MVP in year 2, SB appearance - Bo Nix - back to back Playoffs, outdueled Josh Allen in the Playoffs There is no wrong answer… you could legitimately rank them any which way
Louis Riddick@LRiddickESPN

Jayden Daniels is still the best QB of the ‘24 class so…

He’s not blameless on the last play bc there were mistakes by teammates earlier in the game/drive. The game ended on a botched snap and incompletion. Not a dropped pass or missed kick. He deserves SOME blame. Saying he needs to make those plays to be more revered by his peers does not equate to saying Love is bad. Being outside of the top 10 as voted by coaches/gms doesn’t mean you are a bad QB. A QB outside this top 10 list just won the Super Bowl. He’s very good. He’s paid to be elite. Your fanbase believes he is. The larger landscape doesn’t. Your fanbase doesn’t seem to think he deserves any blame. Others do. I’ve enjoyed discussing this with you. I’m trying not to be a meatball. I would probably put Love in my top 10… but I’d put CW ahead for me bc I value what he can do in the 2 minute and his difficultly to game plan for in those situations. Big year coming up for both of our QBs…

@beargoggles88 @TylerHerrick And he did show up, he threw 2 perfect that were dropped. He can’t catch the ball for the receivers. After stalling in the 3rd from bad OL play, he led a TD drive and a FG drive that the kicker missed.

I’m not blaming the entire loss on him. I just will not buy that he’s blameless. McManus/Kickers get roasted because they are paid to kick. Love is a highly paid QB and is expected to seal that game on the final play when in striking distance (or sustain longer drives in 3Q) Football is a team game. The difference often comes down to which teams’ star players show up when it matters most and overcome mistakes/adversity. Again, I think Love is a very good QB. He’s more efficient than CW. I just think the league is telling you that they view CW as more of a threat in those moments that often make the difference in a game. I can see the thought process of them ranking him in the top 10 and just edging Love out based on that. Love + healthy team + great defense can win a Super Bowl. I think the league is waiting for him to overcome not having one of those to thrust him into elite territory. I think more wins in the playoffs and/or in those moments, paired with the stats he can put up, would easily make him a top 5 QB….But I can see why they are currently leaving him out.

They for sure let him down. But he’s not blameless. Stalled drives in the third quarter etc. He’s also paid $55 million. Much like the kicker is expected to make kicks… a highly paid QB can’t be blameless on the last play of the game. Maybe 10/10 was a bit unfair. I think most NFL fanbases (esp NFC North fans) would feel in that moment that “Rodgers has got this…”. I don’t think the league thinks that way of Love. At least not yet

@beargoggles88 @TylerHerrick I’m not taking out frustrations, you just said Rodgers wins that 10/10 times as if the loss was Love’s fault. Fact is, Rodgers was let down by his defense and ST, no one blamed Rodgers. Love was let down by his defense and ST, and everyone blames Love. Love disrespect is real
