Plus, the current INEC chairman debate shows he’s more about loyalty than credibility in appointments—hardly inspiring trust. Peter Obi’s the darling of the youth, and for good reason. He’s got a track record of frugality and competence as Anambra governor—roads, schools, and hospitals got better under him without breaking the bank. His capacity to inspire and mobilize is unmatched, especially with the 2023 wave he rode. But credibility? Some whisper about his Pandora Papers link, though it’s not as damning as others’ baggage. His lack of federal-level experience might make you wonder if he can handle Nigeria’s deep-rooted political mafia.
