@knight_Steve_ The newly discovered hadrosaurid Gongshuilong fanwei, tyrannosaurid Asiatyrannus xui(or juvenile Tarbosaurus bataar, as @GormRaun et al. proposed) is from the Lianhe Fm., younger than Qianzhousaurus.

@SouthApe given that lions were larger it its stands to reason that it would dominate in kill sites, and the fact that it wasn’t seems that it probably couldn’t displace other carnivores particularly smilodon or dire wolves from kills which can be explained by the latter two being social.

I've heard that one of the major reasons we believe Smilodon to have possibly been a social carnivore is the existence of its milk sabers but could this not also be evidence of extended parental care? A lot of big cats today even outside Panthera stay with their mothers up to 2yr
