I love @browsercompany The’ve built my favorite web browser, Arc. They’re betting the house on their new AI-powered browser, Dia. Their aesthetic is distinctive and the copywriting are purposeful. Their homepage does three things really well: 1️⃣ Show, don't tell (through interactive visualization) 2️⃣ Make the status quo untenable (by highlighting the browser evolution gap) 3️⃣ Create emotional connection by making users feel good (it's not you, it's your tools) The breakdown: They open with an interactive animation showing a browser window drowning in clutter as you scroll. The copy in this section follows classic Problem/Solution structure: 🫠 Problem: "We love the Internet, but it can be overwhelming." 😃 Solution: "What if a browser could help make sense of it all?" They also focus on emotional benefits (focus, organization, control) rather than technical features. Then, they shift to a sales letter format before showcasing their product - an unconventional choice that I think plays well with their brand. 🎯 Smart set up—it uses an accepted truth (the Internet has evolved) to create a gap that the product is perfectly positioned to cover. 🎯 "It's not you. It's the browser." Brilliant reframe. By absolving users of digital guilt, you make them feel receptive. They are now ready to believe you are a browser that will help them, not guilt them. 🎯 I’m actually not feeling this paragraph. They waste the emotional connection made above by remaining ambiguous. Plus, it starts with an inaccuracy since Arc already exists. How would I rewrite the last paragraph? ✅ We've built a browser that doesn't blame you. It's called Arc. It takes care of tab hoarding, keeping your screen clean and your mind clear. Inside one window, you can work at multi-screen speed, trading wasteful back-and-forth clicks for focused productivity. It brings order to chaos through Spaces—a new way to navigate. Arc is what browsers should be; neither invisible nor hindrances, but empowering tools for your digital life. Kudos to @joshm and team for building a badass browser, an intriguing home page, and for making a big bet on their next browser (Dia).
