Lack of manufacturing scale is a challenge for many NZ industries, including beloved Icebreaker. Hence producing this carpet offshore. Local production is the goal though….

@we_dollar @NewshubPolitics Wool tiles are now available in NZ. The great thing about wool is that it’s a natural antibacterial and doesn’t give off chemical fumes to those wee tots with snots.

@NewshubPolitics Have they ever set foot in a primary classroom with small peoples pee and 🤢 wotnot stained in a woolen carpet? It makes sense to synthetic tile some places until woollen floor coverings can be made and laid in replaceable tiles too.

@robtreacher @NewshubPolitics Wools of New Zealand have just developed wool tiles which are available here in NZ. Some smart corporates have already placed their orders.

@NewshubPolitics I understand it’s Carpet Tiles which makes sense for obvious reasons. Can you even get NZ woollen carpet tiles?
