PET scan revealed a very small cancerous tumour on the lung - not ideal! . Will either be surgery or some kind of new radiotherapy called sabre . Another hospital to visit and to stamp off in my medical tourism visa . Think I’ll have all of the hospitals in the NHS Glasgow area!

Didcot Town welcome Wallingford and Crowmarsh to the Loop Meadow Stadium on Saturday for the Larry Hilll Memorial Trophy.  The game is once again pay what you want on the gate with a 1pm kick-off. There is also a veterans game before the main game.  This will be a 10.30am kick-off This is the final home pre season game before we kick-off for real with the FA Cup tie against Milton United at the Loop the following weekend.  The gates open at 11am and the bar is accessible once inside the ground.  🗓Saturday,  26th July 🕛1pm 🏆Friendly v @wandcfc 🏟Loop Meadow Stadium

A huge thank you to Marc Addison and John Douglass this season.  The pair have brought us photos from games including the first team,  @Didcottowndev, youth devs and women's team. They've captured some fantastic moments. Marc (@marcadsports) is also our videographer,  bringing us great match highlights and interviews.  He definitely deserves a medal putting up with Jamie and myself waffling on for ages. His commitment,  both home and away,  all at his own cost,  is a great dedication to Didcot Town.  Also,  thank you to Joshua Stewart,  who has been the man behind the match updates on x from the Loop and home match reports this season. Hans @Hans_Cook also chips in with the match updates away from home when he's at the game.  Charlie East does a fantastic job on the microphone at our home games. Thank you to all of them. Didcot Town Football Club would like to reiterate that there is no fireworks display at the club this year.  Adverts on websites and social media recently have suggested wrongly that the club would be holding an event in November. The club spoke with the event hosts after last years event and explained that we would not be hosting a display this year or in the future.  After listening to local residents and the local council the club took into account the impact this had on  residents and pets close to the club when making their decision.

Non-league football rely on an army of volunteers to help them run the club.  We are giving a shoutout today to one of our coaching staff,  Mark Hutchings,  who made himself available this morning to answer an emergency plumbing situation at the club.  The first team coach, who runs his own business,  Hutchings Heating and Plumbing,  took three hours out of his normal busy working day to put the club first.  We would like to thank Mark. All non-league clubs rely heavily on those that will help the club out in their hour of need.
