Luke Carnell will make his 300th appearance for the club this afternoon after being named in the side for the clash at Yate Town.  The defender made his debut for the club during the 2012/13 season and he captained the side in one of the biggest games in the clubs history.  Luke, who has also scored 38 goals for Didcot, led the side out for their FA Cup First Round tie against Exeter City in 2015, the only time the club have made the first round proper in the clubs history.  Congratulations to Luke on reaching 300 games for the club.

@sgodfrey Seems like a big missed opportunity that a walk up catchment area like that doesn’t have at least a step 4 club

Bicester Town’s old ground continues to be locked away as Bicester Village plan to turn it into a car park. If I ever won the Euromillions I’d quite like to buy this land back and build a little stadium here. Bicester could/should have a side capable of playing at Step 3/4 min.

Do you have a dad,  granddad,  brother,  uncle or friend who has played for Didcot Town over the years? Following the success of Mel Fleming, Hugh Ryan, Harry Marriott, Dave Marriott and Peter Slade all attending the final game of last season, we are looking to invite more of our former players to be our guests at home games this season.  The five players got together,  relieving some fantastic memories of their time playing for the Railwaymen over 60-years ago.  As well as a section in the matchday programme about their time at Didcot,  we will introduce them onto the pitch before kick-off. They will then have their photos taken with the match captains and officials before kick-off. We would like to invite teammates together,  so if you did play for Didcot or know someone who did, who would like to be our guests,  then please get in touch.

Didcot Town have signed forward Josh Davis.  The prolific goalscorer has netted 46 goals in 60 appearances in the past two seasons.  In the 2022/23 season, he netted 26 goals in 30 starts for Wantage Town.  Last season, he scored 16 goals in 23 starts for Highworth Town and 4 goals in 7 starts for Kidlington.  We would like to welcome @josh______davis to the Loop Meadow Stadium.  We will be announcing four more signings at 8am. Thank you to Duncan Earnes for the photograph.
