Understanding murine compensatory mechanisms after injury has important implications both for understanding our models of SCI, as well as potential therapeutic targets! Thanks much to all involved.

We looked at ways in which young mice might compensate to regain locomotor function in the absence of remyelination after spinal cord injury. We found a novel ion channel expression pattern in axons of remyelination deficient mice: increased expression of Nav1.2 channels. 1/3
