Sitting on the highest point in Dallas — right on Harry Hines behind that famous waterfall billboard — overlooking I-35 and downtown. You walked through an entrance built like a real mineshaft, past rusting mining equipment and narrow gauge rail cars, into a dimly lit dining room that felt like you’d descended into the earth. It was unlike anything else in Texas. From 1976 until it closed in 2005, generations of Dallas families celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, prom nights, and special occasions in that old mine on Goat Hill. Then it was demolished. And just like that — it was gone. Some places you don’t realize you’ll miss until they’re already gone. 🤠🪨

@NasheCeezet_zw I honestly don’t mind if the doctor is running behind, I expect it and plan accordingly. My problem is if I’m running behind due to traffic for example, I’m not given the same grace and have to reschedule. And I’m not talking about an hour late, 15-20 minutes.

My doctor was always 45 mins late, every visit. No apology it’s just "Take a seat." Last time I waited 1 hour 20 mins then I left. Then wrote a google review. I wasn’t mean but just honest: "Always late, brings a book."2 stars. He called me that night from his personal cell. "You think I'm late because I don't respect your time?" I said "...yes?"
