@ByVarunShankar Last year Stone said you should weigh 7 games (playoffs) too heavily in your decision making. However with the state of the league there seems to be a larger gap in the reg season and playoff quality of play. How do you weigh regular season results and playoff results?

Giannis is significantly better than Alpi. He would’ve destroyed Ayton 1 on 1 and we probably win this series even without KD. And we probably win 60 games if Giannis/KD/FVV are healthy. But cashing in all our assets for an injured 31 year old on the decline feels so pointless.

Proud of Alpi last night for balling out in a must-win game. He’ll be the scapegoat for the season, no doubt, (Stone never wanted him in the first place) so everyone can save their jobs, and that’s fine. He was a 2x All-Star and the biggest bright spot of this failed rebuild.

You always let the refs know if you are looking to defend/trap before fouling. Pays off for the Lakers and what a sequence from LeBron James. Switches to take Sheppard 1v1 in the backcourt, back tap gets a steal, hits a 3 to tie the game.

LeBron ending the Harden era in Houston 6 yrs ago, only for him to force the Rockets to massively retool the team again in 2026 with another playoff loss would be beyond funny

The Lakers are missing 57 ppg with Doncic and Reaves sitting. They are missing 7.6 Net Points per game, which is what goes to the Lakers' scoring margin. The Rockets are missing 2.7 with KD out.

Curious if you guys had to bet, what’s the highest probability odds to a top 10 player: A. Sengun becoming one B. Amen becoming one C. Future trade D. Future draft pick This is obviously tied to the premise that you need a top 10 player to win a title.

@JTGatlin He is a free agent so I wonder if they will be able to sign him and Tari.

Steven Adams and a FRP (or some seconds) for Coby White makes a lot of sense for the Rockets. There are a handful of other targets I could be talked into, but I think that's the best trade that helps Houston the most now AND in the future without giving up too much.

I’m not sure Ant, Jaylen Brown, and Jalen Brunson, all of whom are considered for the most part to be better, are all actually better than Alpi overall as a player. That’s the take.

I didn’t realize this. Jabari Smith Jr. is now up to 39% on 3s on 5.9 attempts. That’s a pretty big development if it holds. He shot just 35.4% last season. I’ve been pretty disappointed with his overall offensive development in regards to the other facets of his game, but that’s fine if this is just who he is. If he’s defending, giving us size, knocking down his 3s, and hitting the occasional turnaround jumper, he’s a valuable piece.

1. Alperen Sengun is playing like a legitimate MVP candidate 2. Amen Thompson looks like an all star 3. Reed Sheppard had his best game of the season 4. Tari Eason has been playing his ass off. His corner 3P shooting looks incredible 5. Capela can still rebound and defend and was a great signing for nights like tonight to load manage Steven Adams

Rockets gave the Grizzlies too many easy looks in semi-transition to end the quarter. Allows Memphis to hang around and only trail by 9 heading to the half.

The Rockets going full jumbo package loading up on size with a ton of bigs actually makes a lot of sense on paper because the biggest threats in the West are OKC (Chet/Hartenstein) and Denver (Jokic/Valanciunas). Also works against Minnesota (Gobert/Randle).
