Biggest worries atm: Fitness/intensity drop off is scary. Midfield is BAD. Everyone is just loading the center and our progression has vanished. OOP is even worse. Yesterday I had the honour of observing the British Army’s Sniper Operator Course in its final few weeks up at Otterburn. The students were at the stage where they were demonstrating the full range of skills they’ve learned across the course, from camouflage and concealment to contact drills, stalking, observation and extraction. It was brilliant to see the professionalism, enthusiasm, and the depth of experience being passed down from instructors to the next generation of soldiers. Yesterday also happened to be Armistice Day, and at 1100 hrs we paused to remember our fallen brothers and forefathers. Lest we forget.
