Crossing a Street in Kathmandu - Don’t Die
Here’s an early morning, not too much traffic, street crossing in Kathmandu. No street lights, no cross walks, no lines in the road……..just flow. “Rule of Hierarchy”: the Biggest thing has the right of way”. Trucks over cars, cars over motorcycles, etc etc. Humans?……are the last in line. Rule of thumb…..keep moving with the flow, don’t stop.

@DamonZumbroegel Oh my god 🙃 ur in the worst part of ktm often called as armpit of ktm on reddit nepal , most ppl living in that area are migrants from other parts of nepal ,even if gov tries to improve the facilities over there those ppl don’t reciprocate. Even i avoid to travel from that area

Requesting people not to use the word “squatter.” tf is squatter? I’ve never heard it before and its definition doesn’t accurately reflect what our sukumbasi are. It’s “sukumbasi,” and there is no English word that judiciously translates their pain, misery, constraints, and hope.
