I was really nervous posting this video — I’ve never done anything like this before. In it, I talk about something I’m really passionate about: supporting students in school through strong relationships, giving them meaningful choices, and being mindful of the language we use. Shifting from “helping” to truly “supporting” can make a huge difference in how students feel, engage, and grow. Behaviour is communication, and when students feel understood and empowered, we create safer spaces for learning and connection. I’m still learning, reflecting, and developing my practice every day — but I wanted to share this as a starting point for conversation. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences around building relationships and using choice-based approaches in school settings. #School #Learning #Education #Supporting #Choices #Communication

Mentoring is more than just checking off a to-do list. In my recent role, I’ve seen that "success" is as unique as the students themselves. The rewards of this approach include: Improving Attendance: Supporting students who previously struggled to step through the school gates to return with confidence. Academic Resilience: Seeing students who once felt overwhelmed now sitting their GCSEs with a sense of calm and capability. Culture of Trust: Proving that empathy and intentional relationship-building are the most effective tools for long-term behavioral change. What I bring to the table: Adaptability: I can pivot from the high-energy social support needed in KS3 to the high-stakes academic coaching required for GCSEs. Relatability: I act as the bridge between staff and students, breaking down barriers that sometimes stall learning. Growth Mindset: My goal isn't just to "fix" a problem, but to give students the tools to solve the next one themselves. 🤝 Let’s Collaborate I am passionate about seeing students flourish and believe that these strategies can be adapted to support any school community. I am now looking to connect with other secondary schools and educational leaders. If you are interested in discussing how these regulation strategies can support your students, or if you’d like to invite me in to share my practice and insights, please feel free to reach out via DM or comment below. Let’s work together to build environments where every student feels supported enough to succeed. #EducationConsultant #SecondaryEducation #StudentWellbeing #SchoolLeadership #GCSEPrep #AlternativeProvision #TraumaInformed

The Anatomy of an Elite Strike: Why Harry Kane is the Ultimate "9" 🎯⚽️ They say the best strikers don't just see the goal; they feel it. Last night, Harry Kane’s second goal against Atalanta wasn't just a record-breaking 50th in the Champions League—it was a masterclass in technical execution under extreme duress. In a modern game where "tight spaces" are the norm, Kane showed why he remains the gold standard. Here is why that specific strike was so special: • Composure in the Chaos: Receiving the ball with his back to goal and two defenders (Hien and Sulemana) draped over him, most players would have looked for a recycle. Kane didn't. He used his physical frame to shield the ball, absorbing the contact while maintaining his balance. • The "Tight Space" Turn: In a fraction of a second, he executed a sharp, instinctive turn. Despite the lack of room, his footwork was immaculate, moving the ball just far enough away from the defenders to create a shooting lane that didn't exist a moment prior. • Striking "Across" the Ball: This was the genius moment. Even while off-balance, Kane understood the geometry of the situation. By striking across the ball with ferocious power, he ensured the trajectory took it away from the goalkeeper, Marco Sportiello, and into the far top corner. • The Result: A rising shot that left the keeper a spectator. It wasn't just about power; it was about the spatial awareness to know exactly where the keeper was positioned and choosing the one angle he couldn't reach. In business as in football, the ability to execute with precision when the pressure is highest and the margins are thinnest is what separates the great from the legendary. 50 goals in 66 games. Faster than Ronaldo. Level with Henry. The Harry Kane era at Bayern Munich is something to behold. 📈 #HarryKane #UCL #BayernMunich #FootballAnalysis #TechnicalMastery #ElitePerformance #ChampionsLeague

Nice detail provided love the steps you have broken it down into: so my little coaching reminder for this if teaching players would be: 1️⃣ Suck them in: Get the defender to commit 2️⃣ Sell: Decieve them with the feint 3️⃣ Snap with Speed: Move the ball away from defender and speed away.

In football, the best way to beat a defender isn't to outrun them—it’s to make them commit. The most dangerous players in the world don't just move the ball; they move the defender. A world-class body feint is a masterclass in physics and human psychology. Here is why the "drop of the shoulder" is the most effective tool in a winger’s arsenal: 1. The Low Center of Gravity 📉 A feint begins in the knees, not the feet. By dropping your hips and leaning into a fake direction, you force the defender to mirror your center of gravity. If you go low, they go low. * The Goal: Get them to plant their feet. A planted defender is a stationary defender. 2. Selling the "False Step" 👟 The best feints aren't just a lean; they involve a hard step with the lead foot. This triggers a "threat response" in the defender. They see the weight transfer and instinctively shift their entire mass to cover the lane. * The Physics: Once a defender’s weight is on their heels or shifted to one side, they are trapped by their own inertia. 3. The "Snap" Back ⚡ The feint is only half the job. The magic happens in the acceleration phase. The moment the defender bites, you push off the "fake" foot and explode into the open space. * The Timing: You don't wait for them to stop; you move the instant you see their hips turn. 🧠 The Competitive Edge In football—and in business—predictability is a weakness. If you always take the most linear path, you’re easy to mark. The "body feint" is a reminder that sometimes you have to move one way to go the other. It’s about creating space where there was none by manipulating the expectations of your competition. How do you create space when the pressure is on? #FootballStrategy #PlayerDevelopment #SoccerSkills #PerformancePsychology #Agility #1v1

Even in elite environments we have a session that we felt could’ve gone better and we learn more about ourselves in those sessions than we do when we think we have a great session.

@ben_andreos @CoachesVoice @touchtightcoach @TheCoachesSite @CoerverCoaching @SessionShareNet @JB_SoccerCoach @Tactx_ @CoachTopia Good post Ben. Most people only tend to show their highlight reels on these platforms. We all know that everyone also gets plenty of things wrong and have s**t sessions or days.

We spend so much time "curating" our professional lives that we forget the basics of being human. Here is your permission slip for the week: 👍🏻 It’s okay to have a bad day. 👍🏻 It’s okay to be yourself. 👍🏻 It’s okay to make mistakes. 👍🏻 It’s okay to ask for support. 👍🏻 It’s okay to not know everything. 👍🏻 It’s okay to say no. 👍🏻 It’s okay to not be okay. Growth doesn't happen by being perfect. It happens by being real. Which one of these do you need to hear most today? 👇 #MentalHealth #Authenticity #WorkCulture #Leadership

My @SundayShare10 Are you coaching, or are you just running drills? Most grassroots coaches struggle because they dont have time to plan. They work on shooting 1 week and then passing the next but nothing connects. That changes, Saturday 21st March Im releasing a 12 week coaching syllabus. A complete season roadmap designed to take your team from individuals to a compact unit. Whether you're coaching the "half turn" in week 2 or the compact low block in week 12, the plan is already done for you. Who is this for? Volunteer parents who want a pro structure. Amateur coaches tired of manual planning. PE teachers looking to a proven curriculum. The countdown is on If you would like to purchase a copy of this then please use the link below to complete a google form docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI… #Coaching #Syllabus #Planning #Development

Lanyards and Tracksuits: Same Mission. 📚⚽️ I split my life between secondary school system and the Academy football world. In the mornings, it’s all about mentoring: navigating the pressure of GCSEs, managing behaviour, and supporting students find their feet in a loud world. In the evenings, it’s coaching: technical drills, tactical awareness, and the high-stakes environment of elite youth football. It’s easy to get lost in the labels. We see "Students" and "Players." We see "Grades" and "Stats." But they are people first. Whether they’re sitting in a classroom in Year 9 or standing on the touchline on a Tuesday night, they’re just kids trying to figure it all out. If we only coach the "player" or only teach the "student," we’re missing the most important part—the person. My job isn't just to produce results. It’s to produce resilient, confident humans who know they are more than a scoreline or a grade. Classroom or Pitch. People first. Always. #MentoringUK #AcademyFootball #EnglishSchools #YouthDevelopment #TeacherLife #GrassrootsToElite #PeopleFirst
