Why do I need to pay an extra 2% when I deposit over N500,000 or pay 3% when I withdraw same? After paying account maintenance charges monthly, ATM maintenance charge, stamp duty charges and transaction charges when I transfer to other banks? This cashless policy is confusing.

@OgbeniDipo The banks are exploiting us but really soon we’ll have Blockchain platforms to replace them.

@xniyi It's just a place where we keep projects that we have worked on. Hoping that a recruiter will ask and bless us with an internship. We care about jobs. Don't really care about open source. Speaking as and for aspiring and new developers.

I think it's silly when you expect every dev to be on github. not everyone is for the open source Life. Tbh.

@Didibraid22 @tushgeek At the end the ultimate end of a company is profitability. I can’t teach the pro’s how to do business, it’s obvious their previous model wasn’t profitable and it’s normal and okay to pivot.

@ben_eluan @tushgeek So what do you think was the best thing to do? These decisions are really not always easy to make but it has to be made eventually. We just need more of Andela in Africa. They can't do it alone or absorb everyone.

Let’s all calm down please. Andela is not the bad guy here. The scarcity of African businesses, that build great products & are big enough to absorb great talents, is the bad guy. We shouldn’t bring down one of the few pillars that help put African dev talents on the map.

@ben_eluan ALC will continue to run. They will still have junior devs also. The ratio is changing; the senior devs have to come from somewhere init?

@tushgeek You know it that ALC is nothing compared to the fellowship.An ALC graduate is barely a mid level dev, personally I’d prefer HNG to ALC. I understand this is business but I think there might be other ways to cutoff operational costs

Crazy idea just came to my head. Rent a 2 bedroom flat in Lagos for 4/5 graduates currently based in and around other SW states so they can move to a big city and look for a job. Get a job and move out after a while. Bring in a new set of guys!
