the "find your perfect product" advice is keeping you broke i see new ecom founders spend 4-6 months researching niches, building spreadsheets, watching comparison videos, waiting for the product that feels right and then someone else launches the thing they were thinking about and makes $200k in 60 days here's what the gurus selling you the research framework don't say: the product almost never matters as much as the angle a 4x margin problem-solver with sharp positioning will beat a "perfect product" with generic messaging every single time when i got into supplements i didn't have proprietary science or a lab relationship or 10 years of formulation experience i had a clear understanding of who was buying, what they actually wanted to feel, and how to talk about the product in a way that made competitors sound like they were marketing to a different species the angle is what makes someone feel like your product was made for them the angle is what makes $200 feel like an obvious decision instead of a risk the angle is what turns a customer into a referral source stop waiting for the right product. the right product is whatever you can position correctly for a buyer who has a real problem and the money to solve it most products in any category are functionally similar the brands winning are the ones who figured out the conversation happening inside the buyer's head and entered it at exactly the right moment that's a positioning skill. not a sourcing skill. start there.

YouTube ads are so simple. My simple, proven money-printing process: Test in a Demand Gen campaign 1- Load proven ads (ideally Meta winners) 2- One ad group, optimized targeting OFF, Shorts + In-Stream only 3- Strong titles/descriptions + seasonal hooks 4- Choose specific language (not "All") 5- Track in a sheet After 2x AOV spend: Pause losers, move winners to a Scaling campaign 1- Turn optimized targeting ON after ~7 days 2- Split test placements (In-Stream vs Shorts ad groups) 3- Scale budget Bonus: When winners stop spending in scaling → Duplicate them into an "Enforcing Spend" campaign (only high-performers) to force delivery. Test → Kill losers → Scale winners → Enforce spend. Simple and effective.
