@benchrates Agreed I just think BOS needs to steer clear of over paying any player that is not a real Top 6 forward or Top 4 D-Man until they're Cup competitive again They need to bank as much Cap Space as possible for game changing talent Bottom of the roster guys are always out there

@BruinsOh Yeah, it's all logical, but the nuance, as always, is the cost of even his current 33 points. Many teams have greatly overpaid, even for 30. And if they give him 15-16 minutes, then maybe 40

@benchrates At his ceiling, Khusy is a 35-ish point player & he'd have to be put in the right position to put that up consistently year over year He's a good bottom 6, two-way player that has both position & deployment versatility but anything north of $3M-$4M for 3-4 years seems a bit much

I don't argue, he can find consistency and improve his numbers. But it will take time - and the question is whether his new deal will match his role during that period. If the extension is ~$4M, it will be a lot for 4th-line minutes. But if St. Louis is going to play him 3rd line, it will be affordable money

@benchrates @HABSFANDIT I don’t agree. He’s shown that he’s precisely what the team needs and wants. He just needs to be able to do it consistently. At 23, there’s still a lot of time and room for development

Bolduc's giveaways are a major red flag given his contract. That likely explains his minimal playoff TOI, even though he produced points. At this point, a trade is the best path - he won't get the opportunity he needs under Martin St. Louis in #GoHabsGo
