According to our preliminary analysis, these losses may have consequences. In our sample of 233 Canadian municipalities, people were more likely to vote in local elections in places where (1) more local papers were published and (2) the largest paper was published more often.

I should probably log onto Twitter more ...but here's a story I wrote on how delayed funding has affected a harm reduction organization in Montreal. "..Boudon said that other groups haven't been so lucky and have had to resort to bank loans to pay salaries. 'That's not normal'"
