@Shpigford Makes sense. So are you having to manage separate memory.md files for each channel so that they each have and know their own specific context?

@bendell biggest thing is it lets me have convos across all of them at the same time. not that i'm always constantly chatting, but sometimes i need to marinate on a convo before i keep it going. in addition, i'm automatically passing in context on a per-channel basis

@rohanvarma I do use it daily but it’s so painfully slow to move around the interface when there are diffs open.

If you have tried the Codex App, but don't use it as a daily driver yet: What needs to improve to make it the primary place you work with coding agents?

@Support @grok why is my following feed messed up??? It’s no longer in chronological order making it impossible to keep up with what the people I follow are posting. It’s also now polluted with so much noise (posts my followers reply to). Twitter is currently unusable!

the team shipped a bunch of great performance wins to the Codex app today, with more to come over the next week

Performance is terrible. Very noticeable lag when switching from one thread to another. Also doesn’t always auto scroll down to the bottom of the conversation when switching into a new thread. These are small but serious quality of life improvements that would have a massive impact

What could we do better on Codex? App, model, strategy and features… what’s wrong in how we approach things that we should improve immediately?

Hmm can’t remember what I did but my moltbot is constantly retrieving passwords etc from 1Password CLI and I never have to manually authorise it (I’m using a dedicated Mac mini fyi) Only exception is if I reboot the machine, then I have to open / unlock 1Password for the first time and then all subsequent attempts by moltbot are fine.

can someone who's deeper into 🦞 explain how to properly set up 1Password access? i'm running it on a mac (VM) and installed the 1Password CLI stuff, but it constantly requires me to re-approve access via the actual VM screen every time it needs a password.

@adamhfry Vertical tabs, tab groups and profiles please. That’s all that’s keeping me from switching.

We've received incredible feedback since launching our new browser, ChatGPT Atlas, yesterday. We're really focused on building the best product for all of you, and since launch, the team has been heads down making it better. In the spirit of transparency, these are the very short-term things we're fixing over the coming weeks, though some may take a little longer (profiles, tab groups, opt-in ad blocker). If you have more suggestions for us, let us know! There are other things we're working on, but those may involve partners, and we've left those off this list

Hey Tibo. One of the most frustrating things I’ve seen is that as you send follow-up responses with new actions to perform, GPT-5s response almost always summarises previous completed items along with the currently completed item(s). This adds unnecessary noise and makes it difficult to keep track of what’s just been in that immediate step. I.e - please do A - ok I’ve done A - great, now please do B - ok I’ve done A and B Is this on the radar to be fixed?

This issue is now fixed and gpt-5-codex should be a few percent more context efficient and also never loop with multiple answers showing. Do let us know if you see anything in the behavior that you don't like, we're improving it daily.
Tibo@thsottiaux

Nothing too scary, but found an issue in our stack that leads to slightly higher token usage and sometimes degraded performance for gpt-5-codex where it will cause it to answer multiple times or loop a bit. We'll push out a fix first thing tomorrow and it will feel even better.

I know this is unrelated but please please can you remove the chat tabs. It’s so ugly and busy up there with multiple tabs showing. And practically speaking you can never see enough text in the other tabs to make it useful. It’s just so annoying. If I need to go back to a previous chat, I can click the history icon.
